I am looking to get rid of the bed off of my 84. It was brand new from toyota about 4 years ago (Previous owner was anal retentive type and bought a new bed from toyota). Its flat black right now, no bondo, no rust whatsoever, and only a couple of little dings(the size of a pencil eraser). What should I be able to get for it over here on the east coast in the rusty region? Heres a pic.
Thanks for your replies.

Hell, when my brother was trying to find a bed for his '94 toy, he was getting quoted $900 +!!! These were from different recyclers up and down the state.
yea.. that is ca too.. imagine what it is like on the rusty coast!!!

I replaced a bed for a friend about two years ago, I had a friend who was a sales manager at Toyta-got some discount, and the longbed was like $1250 complete with tailgate, shipped.
$900 seems a bit high for a used bed, even here. I see banged up ones going for about $400, so I would say $700-800 is probably reasonable.

hmmmm.... make them come pick it up... or go with a big freight company- would have to deliver commercially though (somewhere with a loading dock and a fork lift) there are ways but itll be costly to ship unless they come pick it up

Yah, 83toy85k5 is right, gotta either do the local pickup option only on e-bay, or do it commercially. They are actually cheaper than you think, i.e I work for a hardware store and could have it delivered there for a small amount over the cost of our regular shipment. Doing the local thing is probably a better option though. Just my .02
