California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Commission
will tour Johnson Valley OHV Area on May 24, 2011.

They will then meet on May 25, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. at:

Many important items on the agenda, including Special Recreation Permits and USMC expansion.

Public Comment Period is at 11 a.m. earliest. Commission will take public comment on items which are not listed on the agenda.

At 1 p.m., Commission will consider, & may take action on, a presentation from the Marine Corps regarding the proposed expansion of the training range at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, in 29 Palms.
The Commission wants to hear the views of the OHV Community & others about what is happening in riding areas.

After the field trip wouldn't it be cool if we all meet somewhere out there for a last minuet comment brain storming session, anyone know of any good places in that area where we can do that:)

I cant make it due to work. But I hope some people are there to make comments and take notes.

Anyone going to this in Ontario next wednesday?
Wear you off-road shirt and hat.
Hear the Marines presentation.
Make a public comment. If you cant attend, send one in.
Ask them to pass a resolution against loss of wheeling area.
Ask them to support the no action or alt 3 go east for usmc base expansion.
Ask them to support repeal of wilderness areas.
Its important. This group carries some weight. They should take a stand.
