ok, so it's another peugeot-3550 swap question :)

i know it sounds LAME but i don't see a bleed valve at the slave. i've got the complete assembly out of the 2000TJ, from master to slave. i am going to retain my master on the YJ and re-plumb to the TJ slave. i know i will need to bleed when i get it all hooked up but no can see any valve to open/close at the slave.

what's up with that?

thanks
steve

There should be 2 "stub outs" with fittings. One you will connect
your line coming from master cylinder and the other one is the bleed. I think your master cylinder connects to the one closer to the trans. The other one is the bleed. You will have to unscrew it a little for it to open the bleed.

strange-
there is the mainline from the master to the rear of the slave. the only other orifice is on the side of the slave body. it is a threaded stem that protrudes from the slave body about 1/2". there is no plug or fitting in it and it is solid at the bottom.

this is totally gay

My cylinder does not look like that at all. If you get the Quadratec
catalog, there is a picture of the one I have on page 158 part 23.

 There is no bleed on a TJ clutch. That's the breaks.

Now delete.

If it's the same hydraulic system as the XJ's, And I'm 90% sure it is, the entire system isn't serviceable other than the ability to add fluid. To do a oem replacement you have to replace the entire system as one unit.

yeah, i wasn't thrashin ya on that but was still cranked at the other two comments from the peanut gallery.

ok- so i figure why not hold the slave vertical and fill it up, then keep the master filled and bleed the line, then hook the line to the slave and install slave to the bellhouse. what else can you do? hell, maybe you could drill out that fitting already there on the side of the slave and install a bleeder in that threaded hole. that must be what it's for?

I wouldn't bother. when mine ever got spongy It was just a remender for me to top off the master cylinder and after 10-20 miles it would stiffen back up to normal.
