hey guys im on the east coast and seen a few f-toys rolling around here and love the way the buggys look. this winter im planinng on redoing my whole toyota buggy and doing a f-toy style cage , except i have a trailgear 4link in the rear so ill have to change the rear design alittle. what i have is a 85 toyota 22r on propane, manuel trans , dual cases, budbuilt transfer case crossmember , chromo front shafts, hub flanges, grizzley locker , riding on a set of 38 inch tsl's. im going to cut every thing off down to nothing but frame and driveline. my first question is how to flat belly the driveline and i have seen where you guys move the driveline back , some alittle more than others , why do you guys do that ?

Read the build threads.
Easier than in a full-bodied rig because you don't have to tub the floor.

Totally flat belly causes passenger seat interference/fit problems with the front t-case output.

Better weight bias front to rear. Most full-bodied vehicles are nose-heavy.
