I'm wondering if anybody in SanDiego could help me out by checking out this (http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/6/6/37131266.htm) cruiser? It's right along the lines of what I'm looking for but a little further than a jaunt across town to look at a rig. Let me know if you can help!
TIA

The guy's name is Dean. He's hella cool, I just got off the phone with him. The truck seems to be right up my alley, but I'd still like to get someone from the area to cruise over and take a looksie before I start talkin turkey with him. Shoot me a PM if you could help a brotha out.
Thanks again!

I am in san diego, but a 760 area code could be ALOT of California. Let me know where he is located and I will see if I can head out there.

I will check it out if you need me to. I am in a 760 area code, and wouldn't mind looking at it.

Let me know, maybe I can meet up with brett

I just got off the phone with him. He lives in Ramona. I am in Oceanside...45 mins. away. I don't know if I will be able to get out there, but after talking to him...buy it!

I forgot to aski if he had CV driveshafts. But it sounds like it runs great, and has tons of upgrades...just like my first one! ARB's, Disk brakes, winch, 350 with $1500 new carb (installed), and clean. If I was looking, that would be the one I went with! You are right, the guy sounds pretty cool, and after talking to him, it sounds like he might have some reservation to selling it.
I think the price it real good. You can't beat it.
One think I was conserned with is that it has a MONCE (Spelling) tranny. the first gear is only 2.? to 1....not very low.

I think I would buy, then sell the motor and trany and put in a TBI 350 and an SM465 (for gearing) of course that is if you wanted to go that way....I am a rock crawler, and less of a daily driver...the way this is set up right now, you could have the best of both worlds!

I say get it! I would pay $7500, but I would start lower. If you know anything about cruisers, and this guys situation, I think you can get it for a lot less. (even though he is not SUPER motivated).

Isn't a SM420 a Muncie tranny? Maybe that's what he was saying it has?

If that is right, that would be even better. He didn't know. He said all the moncie's he knew of where out of cars? That could be a reall cool set up!
