Hi i have a 2007 Fj cruiser and i was interested in going to a xenon headlight setup on mine however has anyone done this and what did you do to make it work.

I have these on mine and they are fairly simple to install just like replacing the bulbs. There is a relay that you install and the wireing is easy they give you good instructions when you buy the kit.

so you want to put lights that put out less light then stock? 10k hid is almost purple. the best ones are the 4300-5000.

and also putting HIDs in halogen lights just blinds everybody, please dont do it.

im either going to run 8000 or 10000 projector lamps not halogen / hid's .. and no matter, any of them will be brighter then the stock 1950's sealed bulbs.. lol but anyone know the diameter of the lens??

Check out classic chevy stores or impala bobs. I've seen a projector headlight made to drop into older cars..they are sweet!
The Fj lights are to big and the baskets will need a lot of modifications to make them fit

HIDS in reflector housings are retarded, don't waste your time..

Contact theretrofitsource.com and consider a full on retrofit with proper projectors. The owner has an FJ with Infiniti Q45 multi-lens projectors (formerly Lexus LS430 projectors)

You can do a Mini D2S or Mini H1 projector and bulb/ballast/shroud etc. setup that is essentially drop in. Pop lens off, side projector in, tighten nut, connect hids.. Done..
