BurbanFreek 11-28-2002, 05:58 PM ok i have a 3/4 ton burban 1988... i dont know what axle houseings i have ( was told i have a 10 bolt or a dana up front a n 14 bolt out back) i dont know and i cant find a place to decode my vin.. if i post it can you guys help me matt u2slow 11-28-2002, 09:27 PM 10-bolt (8.5") front. 14-bolt semi-float (9.5") rear. Could be 4.10 or 3.73 ratio. Look in the glove-box for a list of 3-digit codes. GT4 is 3.73, GT5 is 4.10. G80 means Gov-Lock (posi). Look for either of the other two codes... If it's neither, there will be at least one other G** or H** code.
