My Mog started out as a 1973 404 FunkWagen In the next couple of months I will be adding a Roll cage, fixing some body work and building a bed to store the propane tanks and batteries, I have already done a couple of things to it. I removed the old point’s ignition and replaced it with the pertronix setup. I have converted it to Propane. I have also replaced the wheels and tires with some 11.2-24 tires on some custom 24X12 Wheels, and removed the box.

Where did you get the wheels and tires?? Are you running them with tubes or tubless??? I tried running 11x 20 inch irragation tires but the 404 does not have enuff power to spin them in mud and they were not wide enuff to have flotation in mud, looks like you are in Florida??? Close to Gloveland??? How tall are those tires by the way???? Dont forget not to tie the bed of the 404 to the cab rollbar, they need to be separate to flex correcty. I would also get new centers asap, as nose heavy as the 404 is you would prob be better turning aound the back set of mud grips to pull in the oppisite direction, get a 15k warn electric winch in 24 v asap as well, the 404 is great in mud but remember its really a 1 1/4 ton truck and when it is buried its a nightmare to extract, I live on the Gulf and use my 404 for a hurricane truck from high water, that proane is the way to go especailly when tilting over. Nice build keep it up and post some more pictures. What kind of bed are you planning?? I have a stock fold down bed for sale.

I will let you know when they do. Thanks.
I live in SW FL. MY wheel centers are going to be fine, the centers are 1/2" and I know a lot of people that run pretty much the same wheel on their trucks with Rockwell's that weigh twice as much as my mog and have not bent a single one. They were built by Opie at C.H.O.P Fab in Lakeland. The tires are Titan Tubeless and are around 42.5" tall mounted on the wheels. I have taken it out on the trails out by my house and through the mud hole and it seemed like it had plenty of power to turn the tires. In the future I do plan on swapping out to a high compression head. I plan on putting the box on a M105 Trailer Chassis and making it into a camper.

Rims will be fine...
Looks good, narrow the front of the cage a bit and sink it into the sheet metal. Cut the grill out, its rusty any ways and bolt it into the cage in the front allowing access to the motor through there... Flip up.
Sipe the tires and keep them at 15 psi. They will work awesome and are soft enough that you dont need to worry about the pressures. But seriously consider making a rock ring for the rim shells, they are pretty thin and bend, letting the air out in a hurry with the tubeless titans. You can try gluing the bead, or doing 5-10 wraps of duct tape, but inevitably you are gonna have to pull them and remove the sticks / mud / gravel eventually.
My $0.02 and what I was doing on mine.

Well I have changed my mind on the doka conversion that I was going to do, I still have the doors, so if I change my mind later on I can still do it if I want. Im going to build a interior roll cage, some bumpers and a new bed. Im going to be starting another project soon, so I decided to put the doka conversion on hold for now. :flipoff2:
