That explains why the release numbers are so high... severall folks were wondering how they'd gotten that high, since we didn't think the dam *had* that kind of release capacity. Add in estimated spill and it makes more sense.
Add in snowmelt, and the Committee Crossing has gotta be ripping. I bet the bushes on the South bank will be gone this year.... or at least relocated WELL downstream!

See my post in the water release thread for the particulars but the max release from the pipe is 500 cfs at full lake capacity. Randy is correct when he says it makes sense about the release adding in the spillway.

Im wondering what it will do to the crossing itself! Im sure that much flow will be changing it around alot and making some new holes to watch out for. When the flow dose go down who ever get down there first better be safe crossing it and report back where the new holes in the crossings are!
I'm not just worried about the crossings, but the trail it's self. There are several parts of the trail close to the river. This kind of flow could definitely damage the trail in those locations as well as divert completely and flood sections of the trail away from the river.
