will an ARB bumper for a 40 series fit a 55? if not where can i get a heavy duty bumper? (i dont care if it has brush guard or not). Thanks.

An FJ-60 ARB will fit with some mods, I think it looks good, some don't.

It sits a little low in the headlights.

It will take a little modification.

I am having Rusty B build me one this winter. If you like it, PM him.

If all you want is a lower portion then the 40 should fit, any 40 or 60 bumper with grill/headlight bars obviously are not going to line up with the 55's unique front end design.
I have not checked, but it's logical to assume since the axles will interchange (40 & 55 ) the front frames must be alike.

BFIP, I don't know if a 40 bumper will fit a 55, but I can tell you that Butch Lewis (http://www.butchbuilt.com) in Napa or Luke Porter (http://www.4x4labs.com) can build you a heavy-duty bumper for your 55. Butch built the front bumper on my 55, Luke built the rear bumper.

I'd recommend them both.
