... is it a hi-lift?

I've got a "Hired hand jack" that in all apperances is a hi lift. can I use the hi lift repair kit on this?

they are identical, same castings and everything. the main difference is that the hired hand one costs about $35 instead of $65 :D

Not a hi-lift, but from what I have seen, MUCH better built. I have been told it is made by "jack all". and is the military grade version that pre-dates the Hi0lift.

I have one of the chinese made "farm jacks" and it is almost identical to a "high lift" and apparently can use the high lift rebuild kit.

Paid waay less, and it acts the same as every other high lift I've used...even gums up when dirty...and will try to knock you out at the wrong moment etc...:D

Hmm, I had this thought running round my head that there was a difference in method of construction. Something like cast vs. stamped but I know that's not the answer.

I have a jack all also (its older then me by many years) and would say its comparable to a highlift (the cast version) but not as handy because the jack handle isnt as easy to get off and doesnt work to sleve tierods

To be honest - I think the Hi-lift's removable handle is junk, and just something else to rattle around.
And what the heck do you need to sleeve a tie rod for? :p If you build the tie rod beefy enough in the forst place, you wouldn't have to canibalize your hi-lift to fix it :D:D:D

"Jack All" brand jacks are made in Canada.

Nice DRM. does it use the same rebuild kit? Payton was correct, mine is made same company as the newer high lifts.
