Ok I found a local sale on this dodge 3/4ton military truck, Heres the info:

63k miles, M-880 or civilian W200 style,
The body is ok, no rust some dents...

Build date 5-3-77

transfercase is not divorced, C-11890, im not familiar with that, and whats it worth?

Tranny is the 727, leaks needs rebuild but will be driveable for delivery

Engine is the 318 with new parts like alternator water pump started up after being primed but belw alot of oil smoke, needs rebuild.

Front Axle: 4.09 gears, full time no lockouts, 44-38F or 44-36F number on the casting, its hard to read, has a broken yoke at the pinnion the ear broke off, the front drive shaft is gone, im guessing its 30 splined?

Rear Axle: no numbers at all, 4.10 gears to match the fornt 4.09s, d60 probibly 30 splined?

Has a nice set of 15in chrome wagon wheels looks like 2.5in BS with a set of NEW Futuba "pepboys" 30in MUD tires.

So the truck is $650 and id like to buy it to part out.

1. Any info on that transfercase? good stuff? good value?
2. Info on the axles, rear is d60 30 splined? axle diamater any neckdown? front axle with full time no lock outs is it worth buying?
3. the 727 is desirable, whats it worth in its rebuild needed condition.
4. motor, well it runs, what do you think I could get for it?

Ill continue to search...

thanks guys

full time d44 front, 30 spline dana 60 HD rear, both with 4.10 gears. 203 transfer case. Tranny is damn strong. The truck came with no power anything (no power steering, etc.). Dont know alot more about them. The grilles are worth something to some dodge guys, since they are steel, unlike they civy ones which had an alumnium grille. Basicaly it is a military W-200 3/4 ton truck.

you sure it has a dana 60? I have never seen a military dodge with a dana 60, only d44? As far as i know 44-xxx means a dana 44. Does it have the king pins? Or ball joints? What about the hubs? do they stick out past the wheel, or have a big nut right there? Where are you getting that number from? The build sheet, or off the axle? If it is indeed a dana 60, JUMP ON IT. you can part out the rest for at least $500, and $150 for a front 60 is COMPLETELY worth it, hell, even for a broken one.

BTW, it woudl have slugs if it is a dana 60, and 35 spline inners, and 30 spline outers. Locking hubs bolt right on.

ok, ill go out and measure my d60 front off the 79 ford and go to the guyshouse right now and measure the d60-d44 front?

so if d60 front probibly worth it....

ill be back..

dont need to measure anything. If the hub sticks out past the wheel, it is a dana 60, if it doesent (there will be a nut there) it is a dana 44
