Hey Mark, it's a Baja Designs 8" Soltek. I went with the 100w halogen since that Husky had the extra wattage to burn, you can spend a ton more money for HID that burns fewer watts. I run a 55w bulb for around town and switch to the 100w for the desert runs. It doesn't have a hi/lo, you grab the knob and adjust on the fly.

Is that really an old Topkick with a Studebaker grafted to the top of it?

Topkick? Blue oval all day long! Even if the grill guard covers a lot!

Yeah, not well-versed enough. Saw that it was a Ford from the link.

Not mine, but good god did i drool over it. Spotted at a truck stop in Wall, SD it had Montana tags on it. Highlight of my trip was seeing an Earthroamer in person. I could sell everything i own and still couldnt make the down payment on one. Truely badass.

No shit! Personally, I think the term "expedition" is GAY! The flagrant use of the term can be attributed to Scott Brady's trying to profit from using the term to convince "mall crawlers" that if they strap more cool shit on their truck... They will instantly become a highly regarded member of ExPo and the envy of their neighbors. It just cracks me up when people there just buy off-the shelf stuff to bolt to their rig, get the right clothes, and Wa-Laa...Instant expeditioneer!:flipoff2:

Personally, I like to adventure. I adventure everyday I leave the compound...Even when I go down to Guadalupe for a burrito. So to me anything about over publicizing an "everyday" thing, makes me think that there is some other smuck trying to make a buck of feeding someones ego.:shaking:

As far as Casa Azul goes, we don't use her anywhere near enough! For the last few years because I re-built her with a built 6B Cummins, 5-speed wide range Allison, new front suspension, brakes, etc...And LOL, we haven't been using her for the last 6 months because I'm strapped down the credit card bills that I ran up during the re-build.:shaking:

One thing is for sure when it comes to "adventuring" in "Little Casita"...

You can't call it camping when you take hot showers and make ice!

I hear ya. It's getting old finding people who want to make it look like their going camping/wheeling rather than actually doing it. Then when you ask them to go they make up some lame excuse like they don't want to get scratches/dents or get stuck.

Joaquin, I appreciate your thoughts on the whole "expedition" thing and agree Brady seems to have created a monstrocity...

I simply say I'm exploring/camping when I go. That's what I'm doing and if someone else wanted to title what I'm doing something else then to each there own. I also think if you're going someplace you've been to before you're just camping or simple out wheeling a familiar place.

I honestly think the people that have latched on to this title is really based on the non acceptance of the high dollar wheeling crowd and not really fitting into any crowd for that matter. Lets be real how many people now days think camping is done in an RV or a "cabin" with all the necessary utilities? So when these people co camping the rough way and mix it with some mild wheeling they instantly think "expedition".

However when I think expedition I think of trekking through the jungle of some remote/foreign location where you need a translator lol. Or something very similar to that type of trip. I'd love to do something like that one day but I haven't done anything even remotely close to it yet. And that's coming from someone that will intentionally travel across the state on forest roads in hopes of running across something really cool that I never knew existed before. That's why I call it exploring.

Anyway here's my ride.

X2, could not have summed it up better myself.
The word expedition is way over used.

Camping/exploring is what I call I do when I go into National Forests to camp.
