This question is for the fullsize Chevy's. I'm in a '90 3/4 Suburban. Here's my stats:
-FI 350/T400/NP241
-6" suspension/2" body lifts
-38" TSL Radials
-14 bolt rear w/detroit
-Dually Dana 60 (still in the garage but going in prior to trip), still debating on running the hummer beadlocks in the front
-Rock sliders
-steering box brace
-sway bar disconnects
-Hydralic Mile Marker in the garage, might sell it for an electric one
What parts are the most vulnerable?
I'm looking for things like:
-Frame at the steering box, should I get the weld in brace too?

i would be surprised if your frame wasn't cracked at the steering box already.
i would carry a fuel pump for sure.you should always be ready for that though.

If you still have stock steering the pitman arm can be a problem I striped the splines on the pitman arm twice untill I did crossover steering.
It never hurts to have some spare locking hubs and stub shafts if the front 60 still has 30 spline outters..

I think that covers most things that can break
what ever you think will break, and are prepaired for will not break.... It what ever you don't bring that is going to break. You can always tow another truck behind you for parts;)
Steering would be my main consern though, It sucks breaking that on the Con....

you still got that tiny 5-173x on your 60? I dont know what the duallys came with. I keep hearing the hubs are the weakest link in the D60s. The stubshafts are close behind if still 30 spline. If your running 38s and open you should be fine.

A weld in steeing brace is a plus. Nothing worse then ripping the box off the frame! Also be aware of your rear drive line, as its probably pretty long!:D

Hey Lincolnloc I noticed you didn't put a vehicle in your bio. Come on you can put your Nike's down.:flipoff2: What ever your driving it probably has Chevy parts on it anyways.
Thanks to everyone else.

bring extra power steering pumps if you don't have a good cooler on yours.
turning 38's on the con with a stock box and no real cooler will kill the pump.

I always carry (for drivetrain parts) a spare spindel, u-joints, drivelines, tierod, steering arm, axles (still trying to find spares for my new axles though), hub, and a brakeline or two. Thats just what I can think of right now without going and looking at all of my stuff thats on the truck or stashed with all of my stuff I take when i go wheeling.
