If the Obama administration is that backwards, and is turning down the opportunity to purchase M1 Garands from Korea, please inform the the Koreans, that Canadians would love to own these wonderful rifles.

To actual make the statement "The US Government does not want these guns to end up in the wrong hands" is the most ridiculous and asinine statement I have ever heard.
