Has anyone clocked a 300 around a T-18 to get a flat belly by just redrilling the adapter? I was looking at the project and it seems like the shift rails would get in the way. When you get the t-case up high enough do they make it around the trans housing? Pics please.

It might help you to know that all the granny lows have this problem, NP435, SM465, T18, etc. rkcrawl lopped off one ear of the shifter and used twin sticks on the other: http://www.tidesys.com for a write up & pics.

The best thing to do is cut off the inner rail. This will clear up a lot of problems. The only other prob I encountered was the with twin sticks they interfeered with the tranny shifter so I had to heat the twin sticks up and pull them toward the pasenger side. works great now.

I redrilled my AA adaptor , installed the currie twin stick and left the levers alone. They come though on the drivers side of the trany shifter. Everything clears very well. I did cut off a portion of the stock linkage holder. no pics sorry.
