isuzu newbie here.
i am looking to buy a 1st gen amigo cause i love the way they look and one of my good friends had one and it was a blast to drive, and was awesome in the snow. plus i want to build something other than a jeep this time.

i want a 4x4 but its so hard to find one, i can find 2wd all day.

my ? is, does anyone know, or has tried, to put a sami tcase behind a 2wd tranny. do i have enough room?
i dont know anyone with one where i live now and my friend no longer has his so i cant get under one to take measurements.

any info would help my decision, plus if it works i sounds a hell of alot better than a one piece tcase tranny combo that comes in the 4x4. plus trail gear 6.5 to 1 low and 1.7 to 1 high, nice.

thanks

If they fit them in a sami I think you can get one in an amigo lol.

Now strength of a sami tcase behind a v6 idk about that lasting...

Aren't the amigos all 4cyl?

All of the 1st gens were 4-bangers. Either 2.3 carb'd or 2.6 FI... I think all of the 2wd's might have been carb'd; but don't quote me on that. Was a lady on here that had that set-up IIRC. She had changed her screen name. Think its along the lines of Ford4x4chick, or something to that effect. Good luck!

I don't know how strong a sammi t-case is. My 1st gen 4wd weighs over 4000 pounds. Will a Sammi t-case hold up to that?

Stock dry curb weight was 3200#s.

Not to pimp my add or anything :flipoff2:, But I have an OTT divorced toy adapter (which they dont make any more) for sale on here, I am contemplating on selling the cases also (dual w/ 4.7)
