I finally made the switch to LPG:smokin: and lovin' it:D It feels like I gained 10% power over the carb, instead of loosing power:eek: Thanks Lance, for the info at Chimney Rock.

How much did your setup cost?

Also, Im having bad idle problems and running issues. I blocked off every line on my carb that wasent absolutly needed and it runs like shit. I saw inside the motor when I bought it and it looked great. I also put a brand new head on it.

Anyway, it just runs crappy but its all carb shit. Could I solve that do you think by slapping a LP setup on there? My brother just got one and has extra stuff for 4 cyl.

Basically is an LP setup easy to tune up?

I am interested too... what carb did you use? A buddy still has a 22r in his trail truck, and I have some extra propane parts/tanks enough that all he would need is a carb and hoses and he would be set up...

Propane is an on demmand system.

A 425 would work fine for the 22R

DO IT!!!!!!

Setups can be had for ~$250 used easy..

Super simple and easy...

A 425 mixer I think would be too large for a 22r. I'm running an Impco 100 mixer, model J vaporizer/regulator. This whole set up with tank brackets, lines, and fuel lock cost me $120 at a forklift junkyard. I got the tank for free from a friend.
Propane is super easy to tune, and has great throttle response.
Here's how to determine the proper carb size. With LPG a smaller CFM carb is used compared to gas.
