Are you sure, all the ones ive owned ( and theres been a few) have been center:confused:
modus 08-06-2011, 02:25 AM sorry my fault.
the rig is g class swb :)
any help ?
Gwagensteve 08-07-2011, 01:42 AM Sure about that offset?
Anyways, why not add a third link, keep the panhard, and cut the rearmost brackets off the radius arm?
Quick, effective, and miles less to stuff up (and fabricate) that a 4link.

I like this idea, have seen it work very well on the back a a 70 series land cruiser, there the same set up stock as a g wagen.
g wagen chassis are very narrow, so its hard to get enough separation in the upper links, ive ended up with triangulated lowers as well on my long running 4 wheel steer project, haven't looked at it in years, thinking of starting over with it.

Any pictures??:D
fabrice 08-26-2011, 01:51 AM Hello,
They are centered before 1991, and on passenger side after 1991.
Before 1991, we speak about "460" g-wagen, and after 1991, "463" g-wagen (I don't speak about very recent car).
And this for any engine/chassie.
modus 08-29-2011, 03:59 AM thanks all of you guys.
pics will come up as request. i think we did well:D

what joints have you used?
Any pictures of the lowers at the chassis end? did you chop the o.e brackets off?
modus 09-02-2011, 01:32 AM no chop there. used the oem brackets for the lowers at the chassis end and the oem joints for there.
all other joints are modified Creeper Joints. made them fully rebuilding if necessary. UHMW side races and threaded adjuster nut are the new parts for the huge creepers boys.:D
creeper joint before next to a large re joint.

fcfred 09-02-2011, 04:30 PM so the drive shaft doesn't hit the upper pass side link at all through travel or articulation?
modus 09-03-2011, 01:04 AM although we did choped the upper pass mount a bit and used a modified front driveshaft which is narrower.
nothink hit at all. articulation is great.
mick the digger! 09-03-2011, 01:10 AM looks good, but will the standard radius arm bushes at the chassis end on the lowers not restrict articulation?
what the rest of your plans the the G wagen?

ya maybe but thats how the owner wanted to be. if it was for me it would be with joints.:D
rest plans maybe a new aluminum gas tank.
for now the g will travel home and wait for the time to compete until november. 2011 TAT. (thessaloniki andenture trophy) http://www.4x4north.gr/view.asp?ItemID=94&ns=1 and EAT 2012 http://evros-trophy.com/
the fact is that two big changes took place in that stage. first g lost lot of weight and second new rear suspension with new wb. we expect a lot and wish good luck when compete time comes.
