: Best Lift for 94 YJ (What are my options)? Prefabbed lift or SAS Conversions

Not to worried about the cost since I have already spent over $20k on my 4Runner and $15k on my Tacoma so what is out there for me and my 94 YJ?
I want functionality first, looks last. Things that are important to me are:

1) Clearance (Don't need to bust a diff)

2) Ride (My impression of the ride of my Jeep is equivalent to riding a go-cart) Is there a way to make it more firm and not so damn bouncy?

3) Should I do a SAS and lose the Dana30/35 from the get go? Or are these axles tough enough to last me 2 yrs in the desert with 33/35's.

Let me get your thoughts.....I don't know Jack about Jeeps. Toyota's I know but I am not going to have my Yota for a while now so my new baby is this YJ.

PS.....SAS isn't in the future until 2 yrs from now since I am in the middle east and don't have access to 4x4 shops and shit so if I should wait and not waste my money on a prefabbed lift let me know!

Thanks all......

I would go SOA with up to a 2.5" lift spring. It will ride a lot better than stock IMO. As for the D30, D35 chuck them. Go with D44s at least. I've got a 94 YJ also. This isn't much but it gives you an idea of where to start.

SAS??? They've already got solid axles.

SOA - Spring Over Axle - yes.

Solid Axle Swap as in Swapping them for Dana44's/Dana 60's. Come on now.....

The dana 30 IS a solid axle - just not a terribly strong one.

Lift AND a cushy ride? Coil conversion. The stock axles make nice boat anchors.

Dude...your are talking tacoma language. SAS is a mod you do to a vehicle that has independent suspension. No IFS on a YJ bro.

go with BDS suspension. They've got a full military wrap and if you break 'em they'll buy 'em, best warranty I've seen. Pretty reasonable price too
