Trail Sanitation

Without getting all wordy I wanted to touch on the TP left behind, no pun intended, on the trail and around the camp sites. What I am seeing appears to be abandoned by the ladies taking care of business that us guys can do standing up. Please remind everyone, including the squeamish gals, to pick up after themselves and either toss it in the trash bag or discretely drop it on the campfire. No need to leave it in the middle of the trail with a small rock on it so it doesn’t blow away. :flipoff2:

It’s easy enough to take care of with some simple education. Carry on…

suggest your ladies to be more "green" and use leaves/grass if they cant pack out the TP. should convince them to do the right thing

Its more than just tp. This last weekend we picked up half a garbage bag worth of coors light cans that were spread along the trail from eagle lakes to winch hill 1 :mad3:

sadly at our club meeting last Thursday more than 1 person commented on the white flowers around committee crossing area campsites and around the lagoon campsite. bad trend has been brewing on fordyce for a couple years now.

Education is the key here. It seems harmless enough at the time these ladies are "watering the ferns" buts it sucks for those trying to camp. Reminds me of when I started teaching my wife how to use the Pett. I had taken it for granted but she thought it was crazy to crap in a bag and take it with you. Now it's normal and just the way it is. Teach the ladies to pick up after themselves.

If you are camping and see the TP, please clean up after the slobs. Sharpen a stick and make trash picker-upper and burn it. Let's make WF a thing of the past.

Edit: forgot about the white mice....I really don't need to see that. Fawking nasty.

this year is interesting it seems like there is more traffic and more TP as well as in a few spots little more wear and tear than normal. Pretty big chunk of WH3 found its way loose too suprising for sure that was a huge chunk. funny all those years and it finally broke loose must have been a heck of a hit or a freeze to knock it loose finally. its the evolution of the trail i assume but i also suspect its a sign of the enforcement pressures sending the "issues" from the rubicon over here. Education hopefully works but it better grab traction faster than the Spider lake etc efforts or we'll be sitting around the campfires complaining about the good ole days.

The last 3 years i have seen more wear and tear, big rocks moved, trail widening in spots more TP and more garbage than I remember seeing in the last 20+ of going. maybe im just obtuse in my observations but it appears things are getting ahead of us sometimes. i know the last few trips ive made ive hauled out more garbage than ive consumed all weekend thats usually my benchmark for things are gaining momentum not slowing down
