An EB is a 1/4 ton (starting new argument :D )

The BOM is from a '72. I base this on the fact My Dana book doesn't show '72 F-100 BOM's, But based on bracketing the seriel numbers it has to be from a '72.

'71 BOM: 603289
'73 BOM: 603395

there are BOM's for 1972 F-250: 603304

Just nothing for the F-100, it must be a typo when publishing.

Nobody: At least you can find the floor of your garage

:flipoff2:

Eric

Fawkers gonna be 3/4 ton pretty soon :flipoff2: Just a little more grinding on the brakes, and some new shoes!

I do believe it is a 1972. I pulled the cover when I got it, and the ring gear was stamped 72 or 74....I couldn't remember. Must have been a 72.

As far as the low pinion 44 bet........... Asuming all these axles were made in the same place, the odds a low pinion finding it's way into a full width axle are pretty good. We're talking 1000's upon 1000's of axles. Hell, I'm sure a "new guy" probably managed to flip an low pinion upside down!

Trouble is the EB "long" side axle shaft is ~27", the F100 & 150 long side is ~33-34" (see my chart for true measurements)
So I don't think they could of miss used the EB axle. as good idae as I've seen though.

Good Luck on the "3/4 ton" axle. How thick are the tubes on that EB?

Thanks for the offer of more pics, I'm just looking for a 74-77 low pinion Dana 60 now.

no no........I'm talking the folks actually making the axles at dana corp. I'm sure they have a pile of pumpkins....HP and LP, and a pile of tubes.......what's to stop full width tube from finding there way on LP axle? Nothing more than the guy putting them together.

As for my axle, I dunno how thick the tubes are. I just know it's hell of a lot better than the Dana28 I had before!. I'm putting the 8 lug outers on because of the FF dana 60 goin in the rear. It was a heck of a lot cheaper than converting the 60 to 5 lug. I'm not going to complain about the 3/4 ton brakes though :D

Yep, stock Bronco II and Ranger for the '80's. It is the smallest TTB Front end Dana made for Ford.

Dana 35 TTB came in the Exploders and I 'think' last year of production of BII with 4.0L. Not sure of last bit of info.

Ok, i am back in the loop, for some reason, i thought he was saying he had an early bronco, not a B2.
