Has anyone swapped in a 700R4 or TH350 in a '98+ Rodeo? Looking to do one on a original equiped manual trans that has blown one too many t-cases and one too many transmissions. (Need to do a right hand drop t-case).
Thanks,

Although I have not seen it myself. A master isuzu tech. reports that the 3.2 is also drilled for the 60* GM bellhousing. So you should be able to get a 60* 700r4 to bolt up. Many 3.2 isuzus such as my '95 trooper come with a version of the 4l30e, so you may be able to use that flexplate and converter, but that is just speculation.

Definately keep us informed...my VX will be in need of a tranny rebuild or upgraded swap soon.
I have also heard what Chadzu said...haven't seen it though.

I've heard it both ways. One being the SOHC and DOHC Isuzu motors will bolt up to a GM 60° bellhousing. Also heard that they won't and only the earlier motors (the GM V6 and Isuzu 4-cyl) will bolt up. Never seen any pics either and haven't heard anyone actually doing the swap. Heard that the earlier Isuzu transmissions will bolt to a range of GM motors using the 60° GM bolt pattern although you won't want to put it behind anything approaching 300lb-ft torque.
If memory serves though, the 700R4 has the hole for the starter on the opposite side.
