We've sold a bizillion of our KIT-8132 Tire Repair Kits because it is the most complete kit offroad repair kit out there for the best price but if there was one complaint we heard it was that the case was too bulky for some. We agreed so we redesigned the case to be a compact nylon roll-up bag. This kit still has all the same important parts needed to repair almost any trail flat as out KIT-8132 kit like (30) self vulcanizing plugs, metal tools, lube, 4-way tool, and extra stems. It also has a knife, a pressure gauge, and 24" of sidewall sewing wire along with a pair of pliers and photo instructions yet it's less than half the size. It's also the perfect kit for all car/truck tires, trailer tires, and UTV tires too. Get one for every vehicle.
So these insertion tools look a little bit downgraded from the pro ones in your red case. Do you still offer the type with the collar on the top? I prefer that kind. Its the last product featured on this page if you have no idea what I'm talking about. POWERTANK - Towing Series
Our new tire plug kits in the roll-up bag use the same tools as those in the hard red case.* The trouble with the red case kit is that it was so bulky guys had trouble finding a place to store them.* The roll-up case condensed all of these parts into a kit that is ¼ the size of the red box.* The funny thing is most people that want the collar on the insertion tool don’t even know what it’s for.* Most think it is to hold the plug in place during the extraction of the needle.* In fact, the plug will never slide out with the needle during extraction and the collar is to stop the needle insertion at a certain depth to keep the user from inserting the plug all the away through the tread by accident.* It is really an unnecessary feature.* I have done dozens of plug repairs using several different types of tools.* The collar serves no advantage.*

I appreciate the inquiry and I will get the photo of the old plug kit changed in the Tow webpage.*
I like the idea of the roll up bag but I do not like the collar-less insertion tools. The collar serves both purposes, but primarily holds the plug in place while removing the tire. Using the tools without collars can be a big exercise in frustration. Thanks for your answer.
