4493 Andrew McLaughlin / Tim Ray
10th Place / King of the Hammers 2014

Thank you Yukon! After a strong 2013 finish in the top 20, Andrew followed that up with a top 10 finish in 2014! This finish qualified the ESAB Cutting and Welding / Yukon Gear and Axle #4493 for the 2015 King of the Hammers and sets Andrew up for a strong showing is this year’s Ultra4 National Points race. LetzRoll Offroad Racing starts a car in all three Ultra4 classes (stock, mod-stock, and unlimited) and ALL THREE CARS finished in the top ten in their respective classes. We look forward to an exciting year of racing from the #4493 and LetzRoll Offroad. Great start to the season boys!

“150+ people started this race and only 32 finished. We were in the top 10! There is not a better feeling than leaving the start line knowing you can trust your axle parts 100%.” says Andrew McLaughlin. “The 4493 runs Yukon products in both front and rear axles. The quality of the parts is top notch and Yukon’s service cannot be beat. We service our axles often and wear items get replaced as needed. No delays and we love having a company that stands behind us as a race team and the entire sport. Thank you for another great King of the Hammers, Yukon. We look forward to the 204 racing season and putting your parts on the podium!”

4511 Alan Johnson / Ryan Frost
10th Place / Smittybilt Everyman Challenge 4500 class

Thank you Yukon! After a disappointing “timed out” DNF in 2013, Alan and Frosty were focused and fast, making up time in the rocks and desert this year. As with last year’s race, 2014 saw zero issues and nothing but strong performance from their Yukon Gear and Axle equipment.

“Our Yukon Gear and Axle products made the difference between last year and this. Last year we lost our compressor and ran without lockers through the toughest trails the Hammers had to offer. We registered a DNF in 2013. IMMEDIATELY after that race, we switched to the Yukon Competition Zip Locker and never looked back, scoring a top 10 finish in 2014! The car hooked up in the rocks and the strength of our axle shafts, gear sets, ring and pinion, and locker resulted in ZERO issues during this grueling one-day endurance race. 120 miles of the best and worst Johnson Valley and King of the Hammers has to offer and our Yukon parts are still strong and still in one piece. Our class had a 65% attrition rate for simply finishing. We finished and were strong doing it. Thank you, Yukon, for your support, your quality, and your passion for the sport.”

4634 Matt Salyers / Adam Esparza
9th Place / Smittybilt Everyman Challenge 4600 class

Thank you, Yukon! After a disappointing DNF in 2013, Matt and his brother Adam charged back for a 9th place finish in the 2014 Smittybilt Everyman Challenge during King of the Hammers week.

“Thanks to Yukon Gear and Axle we were able to secure a top ten finish!” says Matt Salyers. “We run their 4.88 gears, chromoly shafts and Grizzly locker in the front of our D60 with matching gears and spool in the rear of our 14 Bolt; the perfect combination that kept us moving forward. Didn't matter if it was rocks or sand as Yukon Gear and Axle can tackle it all! Thanks again as it feels good to be 1 of ten finishers in the stock class!”
