2.5 ton rockwell pinion brake kit

All you need to add is a Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 loaded caliper and your good to go. Err, stop.

$125.00 for the kit, can ship in a large flat rate box. We can cram 2 kits in a large flat rate as well.

Formed and braced bracket (NO SPACERS), rotor, pinion adapter, pinion cover and hardware.

Any feedback on this setup? Better or worse than the toy/mazda combo?

Edit: I know they'll put me through the windshield, but will it be better or worse than the aforementioned combo? Looking for more feel out of em'

DIY4X I will PM you about this.

X2. I like to put them under the rig instead of out front/back.

Nice looking brackets, I'd buy them just for the fact they don't use spacers.

Very nice work! I am interested also, however, I know the bolt pattern to the pinion support is no symmetrical. My concern is how high the caliper sits in relation to the top of the chunk if running 4 link hat on rockwell chunk.

Any chance of getting a set that is clocked to the other side of the chunk and further down? Aside from needing a different side caliper to keep the bleeder on top I don't forsee and issues..

Let me know..

This is my concern as well, the 4 link hat. I don't care as much about height as I do on how far away it is. How much clearance is there from the the closest bolt hole to the back of the bracket?

Sorry guys, been a bit swamped lately.

They should have already hit the website. I'll check into that. Until then just call me at the shop. What few brackets we cut to get things rolling are gone and cutting more in the next few days. Rotors are in stock now.

We messed around with clocking different ways and such and in the end this is where we had to place it for clearances and so forth. Just plain not enough room cloced to the other side of the chunk.

pinion pattern is definitely not symmetrical.

mudslut, I'm not understanding where you want a clearance measurment from???

No prob. Look at the yellow area. That is the measurement I want. My link helmet runs where the red line does. It encompasses the eight top cover bolt and the 6 side cover bolts for the intermediate gear. Hope that helps.

Very cool!

Those of us intending to mount a D.E. steering cylinder to the front of the axle could use some more pics. How about a shot looking directly towards the front, and maybe a side shot with measurements showing how far the rotor sticks out in front of the housing.

Also, any master cylinder reccomendations?

Thanks

We have the prototype pulled back apart for some other things. I'll get some pics and more dimensions as soon as I can.
