How bout this: op seems stand up, seller seems stand up. Both parties are active in solving this. so far so good???
Op: send seller $65 cash, postal mo whatever if $65 isn't a prob.
Seller: send coins to op after receiving new payment.
Once the mo is found/cashed/whatever seller send him $65 back after it clears. Sha-zam!!
Op gets coins, seller gets paid and when the mo does what it does y'all settle up.

Interesting. I hadn't heard anything back from them yet...though I figured 3-5 days meant business days, which would be tomorrow.

Western Union says the MO is still in good standing. The "TCMN" or whatever number was mentioned in earlier posts was for a wire transfer of money and does not apply here.

To Brian: Yes...Western Union is still "waiting" on the MO to be posted. In other words, it is as if Western Union has not received the MO from a banking institution. Gotta be your bank! Either that or it was never deposited....But I believe you deposited it.

As for sending another $65 to the seller.... I dont want to do that. Why woudl I stick my hand in a fire again? I wnat this transaction completed, no matter what way it goes. Like I said, I wnat the MO back, the coins, or $65 back... I dont want to give up another $65.

MUDTOY: I expect they will be calling you (me) any day now...but I don't trust Western Union as far as I can throw them after this whole debacle. Let me kbnow if you don't hear from them. Sorry you are in this! Owe you a beer some day!

The Branch my accounts were opened at say they dont have the money order, but there talking with western union to get my account credited with the amount or written verification that it was never cashed.

they told me you can stop payment on a money order at any time? why didnt you do that and get your money back after a few weeks when this happened?

I`m not mad at Rod, never have been, when he threatened me with his ultimatum I simply told him I was done speaking to him in private, I would have still at least read his pm`s and if I knew a couple months ago he still hadnt gotten his money back I would have spoken to my bank then about this.

havent been on as I was temporarily banned for using a bad word in shit shat, my Bank says western union has the money order.

My bank is trying to get them to honor it anyways, if they put the money in my account i`ll send it to Rod.

It appears to me Seller should have called his bank and resolved this months ago.

Seller sent MO as requested. (Buyer did not demand USPS he only suggested it)

MO was made out to Seller and he deposited it. At that point, it is Sellers issue. The Buyer is limited to what he can do at this point. The deposit happen in what?? August? It is now November?

The Seller got irritated at the Buyer and shut down, which caused this whole cluster.

I completely DISAGREE. Western Union has always sucked, it's nothing new. He could have got a Postal Money Order. It's easy, it's cheap, it's fast, it's GAURANTEED! If I was in this same situation I wouldn't ship parts/goods till I had the funds available in the form of cash. I admit I fawked up not getting a Postal MO... I had only used a MO once in the past and that was years ago. So when the seller said he wanted a Postal MO, it didn't really click. I just went and bought a MO from Ralph's Super Market. The problem lies in the fact that the seller would never take any actions to go to the bank and ask them WTF. I checked into WU once (early) and they said it was still pending, so I kept asking Brian WTF. After a month or so, I lost the receipt and couldn't track it and that left me completely dependant on the seller to ask his bank WTF. Here we sit..... Im out $60. Seller deposited it into his bank, but it never got cashed by his bank (?) WU has been called, a few times, and they just keep saying it is "pending" which I interpret as "waiting to be cashed"......but.....?????

i bet you'd be singing a different tune if you were in the buyers shoes mr.
i've used western unions money orders plenty, and never had a problem. since i've read this i only go paypal, or usps money orders. if i was the seller as i often have been, and this problem occured i would be up the banks, and western unions ass every fucking day till someone made good not just sitting around waiting for someone else to do something about it. it's just good business. i don't care what anyone says... once he got his hands on the money order it fell on him too make sure it was cashed. i would have sent the item on it's way to the buyer, and delt with the bank not fucked the seller cause his shitty bank fucked things up. the money order is good, the bank got it, whats the fucking problem??? send the shit too him, the buyer doesn't deserve to get fucked around!!!
