So I just read the Charlie thread... awesome. But strangely it brought to mind a certain person who has been stealing $$ for well over 6 months now. Heres the links to his deeds so far...

Basically what it comes down to is that this Kyle Van Tassel decided to start up his own little web site, Roversolutions.com, great right? Well, not so much. Read through the threads and you will see he has been taking peoples $$ without a second thought, but then rarely delivering, and when he does deliver, its broken, and the claim $$ goes back to.... You guessed it, Kyle again.
If you read through some of the threads you can start to add up the $$ in question, my count put it in the realm of about $17,000.00. And what does he say to that?? "He doesnt really care, the internet is such a small percentage of his business that it really doesnt matter." (seriously, thats not word for word but pretty damn close)

So what may you ask, is my vested interest?? I didnt send any $$ to Kyle, but a few years ago he saw fit to "ban" me from his board after I chastised him for dishing out such shitty customer service. If you think Charlie was beligerant, you havent seen anything yet.

It just really pisses me off to see this guy take so much money from so many people and no one has the testicular fortitude to do a damn thing about it.

IMO What happens on Dweb should stay on Dweb. No reason to bring there dirty admin biz over here. KVT was the reason I left Dweb and I'm sure I'm not the only or last one.

He never banned me but I talked with some people who he has. To much drama for me. Its the reason I started spending more time here. I want talk rovers and wheelin not drama.

Im with both of you and not trying to infringe on Dweb at all, but it really pisses me off that he is ripping so many people off and nothing is being done about it.
ah well, patience... eventually it will all come around...

Andrew-- good to see you over here.. Too bad about KVT.. have you filed an charges yet?? if not you should. Maybe it would give the boy a reality check to have the cops knock on his door, well, maybe not, hes probably used to it with as many people as he has screwed...

Andrew you might call the department of justice in his state (not the federal one) In Oregon they track scams and criminal type business practices. There may be a bunch of other people reporting it. If they get enough they can prosecute it if it rises to a criminal level. Its probably a long shot but might be worth a try IMHO

Just as a quick FYI, I had a guy try to screw me on an ebay transaction a while back. $300 worth. I tracked him to his home town of Ft. Worth, TX. And called the Ft. Worth PD. Told them I needed to report an internet theft, explained the situation and they kicked me over to some detective. I explained the situation to him, he asked me to fax him my correspondance and verification of payment (money order), which I did. Didnt really expect to hear back

but 3 days later the same detective called me back. He said he had gone to the individuals house and spoken with him about the severity of the crime he was committing and the person had said they would rectify the situation and get my books to me. That same day I got my package via next day air.

This was about 2 years ago and the PD in his town might not do anything but then again they might and it might be the kick in the ass that KVT needs to get you your $$ back.

BTW... Does anyone have KVTs address? Might be of use to post it somewhere that it could be accessed by those in the area with an interest.

Thanks for the welcome. He's been tricky to pin down in terms of finding real estate records and other assets we can attach, but we're working on it. I've obviously never had a problem with him, but his audacity is staggering. I'll keep everyone posted unless the admins here want it dropped. I actually remember when Old Scout was around over there.

Hehehe, yeah not only is he stealing from his fellow Dwebers, but some other boating forum as well.. And still the other admins refuse to do what it takes to get rid of him... Wonder how long it will take for people to understand that by not handling the problem, you are condoning it. too bad there isnt enough spine over there to deal with the useless sack of poo...
