It may be of interest to other XJ owners out there to be aware that Gerard Cartaino in Albany / Selkirk, NY is shady at best and should probably be avoided.

There's quite a bit of history to this, but the long and the short of it is as follows: he was banned (under the username BIG-G) from another forum for threatening other members. After being banned the first time, he signed up under a new username (LittleAnthony88) and tried selling parts. When this was discovered he was banned a third time and apparently created yet another account (JR122605) which he also used to sell parts.

Apart from the obvious problems with his forum behaviour, his preferred method of payment is usually cash in a birthday card - presumably because cash is a) untraceable, b) can be 'lost' in the mail, and c) even if it's acknowledged as received, by having it in a card it appears to be a gift. Another part of his SOP involves bipolar reactions to people: he's a bodybuilder with a major 'roid rage issue.

For anyone looking for a bit more background on this guy, I'd recommend checking this thread and this thread for more info. Yes, I am the same 'casm' in those threads and this one, and I am not doing this in representation of that club but rather as an individual. While I haven't been screwed over financially by Cartaino, I don't appreciate his continued behaviour or prior threats against me and feel that it is not in the interest of this community to let him carry on without warning others of what to expect if they enter into dealings with him.

OK, it looks like this guy is starting to become a problem. Multiple people have been scammed, and he's apparently continuing his activity on other XJ forums. Please let other XJ owners know that this guy is a crook and not to be dealt with.

wow this roid ranger needs to take a chill pill...i can't believe he could be so dumb to only accept untracable forms or moneya nd expect people not to wonder...i just bought a 12 gauge and i think it may or may not have had his named etched on the inside of the barrel...maybe he'll take a look for me to check it out...lol this guys a wenzeler and he deserves the same treatment...let the powers of PBB unite and flame
