Bad/Unhonest Seller - ToyHunter - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

I had been talking to toyhunter (brett) for about 6 days about his toyota for sale and we agree'd on a a price of $5000 cash for his truck. I live down in santa barbara (so cal) and the truck was all the way up in medford oregon (650 miles). So I told him I was going to be driving all the way across the state to go pick up his truck and we agreed on satuday around 4pm. I rent a car and my friend and I start driving up north. He calls me when im up to san fransico to confirm I was on my way and I said yes.
He was fully aware of the trouble and distance I was going through to buy the truck. About 3 hours later and after about 500 miles of driving I get a text from him saying he just SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE for $5500!! He doesent even call just a text message and then he wont even answer my phone calls to explain himself or try to work somthing out with me. So here I am up in northern california tottaly screwed by this guy after I had rented a truck, had my friend take work off to go up with me, and spent over $100 in gas. So round trip I ended up driving 1000 miles and spent $200 in gas+cost of rental for nothing. This is just such a shady and unhonest thing to do to someone and I want other members to be aware of this guys ethics. Ive been trying to call him for the last 3 days so i can at least talk to him about it but he will not answer or return any calls. Here is the link to his ad and his phone #
