Problems with PORC

Hello,

I hate to post here but I'm forced to...

Since some months (Maybe a year) ago I buy to PORC (Performance Off-Road Center) Toyota gears and sell them to friends here in Spain.

I've bought some gearsets and thought the business with Alex from PORC was very good since they always send the parts quite fast via USPS and I pay promptly with PayPal.

Problem began a month ago, I ordered two gearsets for a friend's rig and I made a mistake, I ordered an IFS 7.5'' 4.56 Yukon gearset for Toyota and my friend needed a reverse 7.5'' one. Well, I asked PORC for a return but as they couldn't send me the correct gearset until they receive the wrong one, I decided to sell to someone else the gearset and buy another one from PORC. I placed the order as usual, this time for a reverse 7.5'' gearset, sent the money with PayPal and then two or three weeks later I received the box from PORC.

The problem was I got another "normal" 7.5'' IFS gearset, this time I made sure it was not my fault, the bill said "reverse" so was PORC fault, and two times I failed my friend and customer, so I wrote to PORC asking they to send a good one fast. I also offered Alex to send him the gearset and substract the cost (Wasn't my fault) in the next order I place, received a reply very fast saying that he would get one priorized to me. This was on the 9th of August.

The gearset has not arrived and I spend the last two weeks sending private messages in PBB (I always contact with him this way) asking for the date he sent the gears. Got no reply. Also, I place an order the 29th of August and payed as usual, this time the order was for me and a good friend. A month later I have not received this order either.

I'm very sad because I've lost a customer and also the money... What must I say to my customers? I've lost their money and they won't have their orders?

I'd really like to phone PORC but I don't feel capable of speaking in English by phone, and I've sent PORC lots of messages and no replies...

I'm open to forget all this matters if I got the gearsets and a little apology, and will continue buying to PORC and specially to Alex if I can.

Please, Alex or whoever, give me a reply as I don't know what to say my customers and I feel cheated.

David

PS: If it's necessary I can post the PayPal payments and PM's...

They ignored me totally. I received a message saying "We hate to loose you as a customer but as you opened a PayPal dispute we're not going to sell you again".

So must I say sorry for being cheated and ignored???

Don't buy to PORC. They're OK. Until you've a problem...

I use to swear by them but they left me high and dry on my last purchase. Strictly dealing with Poly Performance now.

It was sweet when Alex and PORC had their shit together..I dint ever have to call anyone but them for all my parts..

bout tree years ago I ordered a locker and it arrived 3 weeks too late ( i ordered it 3 weeks early).. I ended up ordering two sets of gears and alex credited my account for the locker BEFORE i even sent it back..
sweet..

then I tried again bout a year ago .... pain in the arse..got half my order and after three weeks I finally got em to credit me..

bout three weeks ago I ordered a master install kit for a D60 ( thinking how could they fuk this up right?) well last night I opened the box and someone had cannibalized it ..carrier shim pack was open and obviously some had been taken out ,,also NO pinion preload shims..WTF,
I ended up using my old and new shims to install my gears..

thanks a fukin lot PORC and go fuk yourselves.. you wont get another chance at my money

PS alex..
I always had good dealings with you personally..as far as the rest of the company

You opened a dispute for something we had already shipped and long since provided you tracking info for us postal # CJ179110011US.

Then you are asking/posting this stuff up about a ring & pinion order that you have never even paid for!!!!!!

What do you think we are going to do. Continue to sale & ship product to you when you dispute charges for no reason?

Don't try to confuss the people. I had two orders pending of receival. One with the correct gearset (The one you sent wrong) and another I ordered for a friend.

I opened two disputes after more than a month trying to contact you and getting no replies. Paypal closed the wrong gearset dispute as it was older than 45 days and the other order was received some days ago, so I've not eleved the dispute, but you still have to send me the correct gears I payed for and I haven't received yet.

I had to order them from another vendor and pay them with my money because my customer isn't responsible for your cheats.

I consider my money lost so ship them if you want, if not go fuck off, but don't try to confuss the people, I'm not the only "happy" customer from you.

gear

You were sent EXACTLY what YOU ordered! If it was something you ordered wrong or did not need it is a simple matter of returning them to us for swap out. THAT SIMPLE. We will not ship out product that you did not pay for.

As far as your dispute all was shipped and anyone can see this by the tracking info shown above.

You're wrong and didn't read my previous message.

This is from my PayPal account:

2 Jul 2008: Payed to PORC 439.90$ for:
- 1x Toy 7.5'' IFS 4.56 Yukon R&P=$146
- 1x Toy 8'' V6 4.56 Yukon R&P=$184.90
- 1x Shipping to Spain=$109 to ship both

In this order I made a mistake and ordered a regular IFS gearset. Needed a reverse rotation one. Asked to you if was possible to return and you said "yes but we must wait for the return to arrive before shipping a new one". As my customer's truck was stopped without gears I decided to buy another one and try to sell the wrong one here in Spain.

10 Aug 2008: Payed to PORC 174.00$ for:
- 1x 7.5'' IFS Reverse 4.56 R&P
- 1x Shipping to Spain

This time you made a mistake. I received a regular IFS gearset another time.

When the package arrived I PM'd you and you said "I'll get one prioritized to you. 7.5'' reverse". This was on 8th Sept 2008. Then all the problem began.

I began emailing you each day asking for a shipping date or any info. Didn't receive any reply until 21 days later (3 weeks!!!).

29 Aug 2008: Payed to PORC 258.00$ for:
- 1x Toyota V6 4.56 Yukon R&P=$179
- 1x Hi lift Jack Strap Handle holder (Daystar)=We do not stock the daystar one we stock the energay suspension one for $10
- 1x Shipping to Spain=$69

I opened the PayPal disputes the 5th Oct 2008, after writing you a ton of PM's, opening this thread and getting no info nor any package.

The package you say arrived here last week and I said this in my previous message. But I've still one I've payed and not received, the one with the gears you sent wrong!

You got angry because I opened a PayPal dispute? Look the dates, I payed for something the 10 Aug and opened the dispute the 5 Oct! Two months having no info nor packages and I'm a bad customer??? I did a mistake with my order but as the mistake was mine I payed for another one, this was simply another buy to you, you made a mistake and I got cheated, lost my money and have no gears! Do you understand? I always acted with bona-fine with you, I even offered you to send the wrong gears paying me the shipping and getting a refund in my next buy!!!

So if you don't want to deal again with me don't deal with me again, but don't try the people think I was a bad customer of I wanted something without paying because it's not true and who has acted with bad manners and cheated my money were you.

David

Well, I am eating crow now. I have been back and forth with Alex now for the last 2 weeks. I ordered my Atlas through them, and paid for it in full in Oct. At that time I was told it would take about 3 to 4 weeks to reach build, and I had no problem with that. Now, where the problem comes in is that I have been in direct contact with Advance since the week before thanksgiving week with other items. According to Geno, it has been ready for build since the Monday before thanksgiving, but PORC has not released it. So I finally got ahold of Alex on the following monday, who tells me that it will be another week before its ready for build. I tell him no, that it has been ready for build for a week. He then informed me that they where closed during thanksgiving week and he will get it released for build. Well, wednesday comes and Geno from AA calls me and tells me still nothing on the release from porc. Well I call back and talk to jefferey, who tells me Justin isnt working there anymore (original person I bought through), but he will tell Alex and they will get it taken care of. So gtg right, well this past Friday around 5pm central, Geno calls me again and tells me still nothing. So, Monday morning, I called and talked with Alex, wwho gets a little upset and tells me I dont need to call everyday, that he has already taken care of it, and that he doesnt understand why Geno cant get ahold of him when I get him everytime. He then proceeds to tell me other things that I will not talk about, but again assures me that he will get it taken care of again. Well here it is Wednesday, noon, (1pm porc time) and I just get another call from Geno telling me there is still nothing from PORC releasing the build. So, I dont know what to do now, I guess the only thing left is to contact the Credit card companies I used. I mean my atlas has been ready for build for almost 3 weeks.

So, Alex, whats up man? Can this get resolved please? I will send you an email also so that you can email geno and cc me showing that it was done.

Nope, I got no exchange nor news so I've a gearset I can't use. Had to buy the correct one from another vendor to satisfy my customer and I had to pay it myself.

I know everyone has there problems from time to time know matter where you buy or shop. I have been in your shoes in the past with vendors trying to get what should be simple problems to fix and had a hell of a time doing so.

But I to have purchased items from PORC, and by no means as much money as some of you have spent with them, and they have always been great when dealing with issues I have had like getting a locker warrentied or shipped out promtly.

I do have to add that the last time I had to contact them about a problem, I did have a hard time getting in contact with Alex but did in the end get the problem resolved with no issues.

I do feel your guys pain in dealing with issues over the phone or internet instead of being able to deal with someone in person.

Just my 2 cents, and I would still do bussiness with them in the future.

Good stuff to know.

Customer service to me is how the company/person acts when something goes wrong.. not when it goes right.

So from PORC responses here, I have my answer regarding their CS.

Well, after recieving some disturbing information today about PORC, I have contacted both of my credit card companies regarding this. They in turn have initiated a dispute and investigation. My buisness is officially over with PORC.

Thumbs down have you been porced latley

let me start by saying i owe porc an apology, i started to jump on them to soon for what turned out to be th manufacturers mistake which seems to be common for all theese days. i also owe jeffry an apology for calling him a liar, iknow this is not a good sellers forum but i owe them this for thrashing them to soon. there was a small miscommunication that was not a big deal once put into perspective. alex was easy to talk with about the problem and was straight foward with the solution..thumbs up for comming thru and for the great price
