Northwest fab problems!?!?!?
ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS GETTING WHAT THEY ORDER FROM NORTHWEST FAB? OR A RUN AROUND ON THE PHONE(NOT RETURNING CALLS)? MY FIRST INITIAL CONTACT WAS W KYLE ON A SAT APPROX 3-4 WEEKS AGO WHEN I DECIDED THAT ID GO AHEAD AND ORDER A TRIPLE SHIFTER SETUP. HE SAID IT WAS ALL IN STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE SHIFTER BOOTS(HE'D HAVE TO SEND THEM SEPERATE WHEN HE GOT THEM BACK IN STOCK) BUT HE'D GO AHEAD AND SHIP THE SETUP OUT ON A MONDAY. AFTER ROUGHLY A COUPLE WEEKS GOING BY AND STILL NOT SEEING ANYTHING OR A CONFRIMATION EMAIL I CALL HIM BACK. AT FIRST HE HAD NO IDEA AND COULDNT FIND ANY PAPERWORK TO WHAT I HAD ORDERED, SO HE'D HAVE TO CALL ME BACK. I HEAR NOTHING BACK! AFTER NO CALL BACK I CALL HIM AGAIN! HE SAYS THAT SOMETHING W/ MY C.C. DIDNT GO THROUGH! (AT THE TIME IT DIDNT GO THRU WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF HE COULD HAVE CALLED ME BACK SO WE COULD HAVE TAKIN CARE OF IT THEN, INSTEAD OF WASTED TIME PASSING BY) BUT ANYWAYS... I FIGURE OK, NO BIGGIE SH*T HAPPENS, BUSY, WHATEVER THE CASE MIGHT HAVE BEEN! SO WE GO THRU THE WHOLE PROCESS AGAIN(ROUND 2, A WEEK AGO ON A MONDAY) THIS TIME I MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS CORRECT W/ HIM AND WORKS(C.C.,MY PHONE #, E-MAIL ADDY, ALSO I ASK HIM TO SEND ME THE TRACKING # ONCE IT IS OUT HIS DOORS) JUST TO DOUBLE CHECK I CALL BACK TUES TO MAKE SURE IT IS ALL GONE THRU AND BEING SHIPPED. HE TELLS ME IT IS ALL GOOD THIS TIME AND IS ON ITS WAY OUT TO SHIPPING. WELL AFTER ANOTHER WEEK NOW NOT SEEING ANYTHING AND ALSO NOT GETTING ANY TRACKING CONFRIMATION I DECIDE TO CALL HIM ONCE AGAIN. FOR THE SECOND TIME HE TELLS ME HE REMEMBERS WHAT I AM WANTING BUT CANT FIND ANY PAPERWORK TO TELL ME IF IT HAS BEEN SHIPPED OR NOT! GETTING IRRITATED AT THIS POINT!!! HE TELLS ME ONCE AGAIN THAT HE WILL CALL ME BACK. AFTER A BIT HE DOES AND TELLS ME THIS TIME HE THINKS IT IS SHIPPED BUT HAS NO PROOF FOR SURE, TRACKING # OR ANYTHING TO GIVE ME! ONCE AGAIN HE SAYS HES GONNA CALL ME BACK AFTER HE GETS AHOLD OF UPS AND OBTAINS A TRACKING # TO GIVE ME. WELL GUESS WHAT!? HE HASNT CALLED BACK AND I TRY CALLING HIM BACK AFTER WAITING A DECENT PERIOD OF TIME I GET NO ANSWER! SO HOPEFULLY I GET A ANSWER TOMM OR THERE MAY NOT BE ANOTHER CHANCE TO DEAL W/ NORTHWEST FAB!
I AM NOT SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT KYLE HIMSELF, CAUSE HE WAS FRIENDLY, NICE TO TALK TO AND KNEW WHAT I WANTED. BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SIDE OF ALL THIS IS SO FAR HAS BEEN HORRIBLE!!! IF YOUR THAT BUSY GET SOMEONE TO HELP YOU! CANT BE TELLING SOMEONE YOU'LL CALL THEM RIGHT BACK AND NOT DOING IT AT ALL, LEAVING THEM NOT KNOWING WHAT IS GOING ON!! HOPE THINGS TURN OUT FOR THE BEST!!

And i understand that TJFan! Its not good for you guys or us as consumers. But thats not the prob in my case!. If that was the case and he would have just told me 4 weeks ago that he didnt have it all in stock or couldnt get it out in a decent time i would have just built something from scratch myself or went a different route, but he specifically said it would be out the door 2 days after i ordered it the first time! When i had first ordered this setup i didnt have the time to build anything and like alot of people i just called and purchased one ready to bolt on so i could get this rigs cases back in and going! Lack of communication and organization on NWF's part! Kyle and I have talked on the phone about how he's being screwed by manufactures he gets his parts from too, but you cant just pass the screwing down the line. And one thing i dont like is that my card has been charged already and nothing has ever been shipped. The way i look at it is.. when its being shipped out the door and into the ups truck is when the billing outta be done. That just my own opinion tho.. I still have no tracking number of anything being shipped as of yet tonight and he told me lastnight on the phone it would be at ups today, 2 day air and outta be here fri!? Just a lil frustrating to have to deal like this when i know he dont mean bad by it! I am already settling w/ something different than what was orig ordered due to him not having in stock the 3' cables. So its either wait till who knows when he gets the parts or try what he has there and see if it will work for me.. Still waiting to see something!

i tracked it and for some reason never got the 2 day air worldwide! was shipped 2-4 and expected delivery of 2-9... so another weekend w/ out the parts to put things back together!! mad3:

NWF sucks. there products are crap. my friend built 3 trucks and before leaving for the trails they have replaced 5 shifter cables. there breaking in half

yeah i did finally get the package on 2/6!! when kyle first posted the tracking # it said that it would be deliver 2/9 which was gonna be longer than 2 day air that he was suppose to be shipping it as.. so i called and told him, he then called ups and they confirmed that it WOULD be here 2/6. neither of us nor ups knew why it said the package was rescheduled for 2/9. but whatever the case may be i finally got MOST of my triple shifter setup roughly a month and a few headaches later... still gotta wait on the 3' cables and shifter boots now!!

Don,t want to add gas to a fire but...... I ordered a cable kit last sept. & it came in nov. (which was in stock)put it in my ride, shifted it twice & the ends of the cables came off.called kyle & they were aware of the problem & he sent me new ones which came in jan. But he failed to send the new sticks & hardware. Its now april & i still have no sticks or hardware....??? Several calls have taken place but now i dont get an answer or the line is busy. Whether it's mfg problems ,suppliers,or whoever's problems if it takes 9 f-n months to get it ,that ain't rite .anybody know of another cable setup?

APPARENTLY, THEY CHANGED THE THE BALL JOINT THAT CONNECTS THE CABLES TO THE LEVERS BECAUSE THEY WERE SHEARING, SO THEY HAVE CHANGED THE WAY THEY ARE ATTATCHING THE CABLES VIA NEW LEVERS & ATTACHING HARDWARE WHICH WERE SUPPOSED TO BE W/ MY NEW CABLES THEY SENT IN JAN.UPDATE : WE TALKED TO KYLE YESTERDAY & IT SEEMS THE BALL WAS DROPPED,LOST,BLOWN-UP & HE IS SENDING THEM OUT AGAIN TODAY.

Long ago yes, the sticks end connection was changed. Anyone who had problem were replaced FREE including Freight.
The phone tends to be busy when I'm on it, yes. I hadn't talked with Josh in 2 months, so until yesterday I had no idea the sticks wern't there. Once I talked to him, problem solved, this sure isn't a case of avoiding you or your problems. I'm happy we finally connected and got it coming. |

I ordered a twin stick from Kyle, cc was charged and several calls and 3 months later I received my shifter. I opened it, checked it out and drooled a little. I installed it and tried it out, everything good. 1st trip out the fawkin cable breaks while the rear was in neutral on top of a waterfall. Not a cool feeling. Called Kyle when I got home, got the same story about the cable vendor, said he would 2 day me a cable. 10 days later no cable so I call back, get the "it wasn't really an order so I don't have a record". I will ship one out today 2nd day select. 7 days later no cable so I call for 2 days before I get someone on the phone. "oh I sent theat out 2 days ago. 2nd day select" I get the cable 5 days later with a ship date of the last call. almost 5 weeks to get a damn cable? BTW I tried to just get one made locally and it is an oddball cable woth 1.5 ish travel but the ends are similar to a standard 1" travel cable?? Maybee I got the runaround from the cable guy, but I am glad to be installing an ATLAS 4 speed and ditching this NWF cable shifter. Worst service I have ever gotten in the wheelin community.

I don't understand what the problem is up there in canada.
I had to bug kyle for my parts...(Doubler, NP205 seal/gasket kit) I think he likes being annoyed and having people call and bug him for his product. Last time we talked I wanted him to send me another PTO cover so my NP205 would match my NP203. He said he'd send it out. Never got it. No big deal. I just don't understand. I always paid over the phone with my visa debit card and never haggled prices about anything. He's a very nice guy on the phone. You can have conversations about current pirate info and all is well. I just don't understand what happens when he puts the phone down. "Fawkin' Americans!" HAHA, JK |

I am closing this thread. The OP and NWFab have worked this out. If anyone has any new issues with NWFab, please try to resolve through PM. If you cannot, please start a new thread with the new issue.
