Wolf Seel Body Panels
I have a 88 4runner with rusty rear quarters. i wanted new ones... so did some research. Seems there are glass ones available but I thought steel would be better. This is when I found on the web Wolf Steel. When I called him he said they were steel I ordered them and he shipped them. Here is where the trouble starts...when I got them they were steel allright but not stamped out. He takes flat metal(I guess) and hand hammers them out. This I'm told is old school (really old). I took them to my body guy (I don't do body work) and he laughed at them and told me he couldn't work with that crap and if he did I could not afford it.
Tried another body guy I knew.... same thing...... He said they were not even close to a good fit When I called the supplier back he seemed surprised and asked me did he not explain this to me? I said if he had would I order them??? well he did agree to to take them back "just ship them." well thats ok for him to say he shipps a lot and has an account which saves him a bundle....Well guess what.. I don't and the shipping for me to return them was more than the product costs (this is a big heavy box). I Have resigned myself to chalking this up as an expensive lesson. So bottom line here, if your thinking of ordering from this guy be prepared to do a LOT of body work to make em fit BETTER YET USE THE GLASS ONES....MUCH BETTER FIT the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of good price!
