NorthWestFab owes me $150 where are you KYLE?

On December 31st I order a 203/205 doubler from NorthWestFab after seeing the $599 sale in the vendor marketplace. The order was placed over the phone with an agreed amount of $638 shipped. Kyle told me that the shafts were on order and i would see the doubler in about two weeks. 14 days later, I sent him a PM asking for an updated ETA. With no response, I left a comment on their thread in the Vendor Classifieds section where they were updating all the time.

After I left the response, I final received a response saying that I would get a tracking number on that Monday. Monday came around and no tracking number. On Tuesday I left another post on that thread stating, no suprise, I did not receive a tracking number. The next time I checked for a response from them, the thread was deleted. I guess they didn't want people to know about their customer service.

Then I called them and finally talked to Kyle. He said there was a mix up in my order and they though I ordered shifters too and they were holding my doubler until the shifters were ready. Now that we had that all figured out, i just waited patiently until the package arrived. This being the first time I talked to them after my original order, Kyle has great customer service and is very helpful WHEN HE IS ON THE PHONE, off the phone nothing seems to get done.

(2/6/08), 37 days after the order, UPS showed up with my package and a $25 brokerage fee. I immediately called Kyle and he said that if we agreed on just $38 for shipping, he would refund me the $25. Again great customer service on the phone. I went to the local 7-11 and picked up a money order.

Once I opened the package, I found the receipt in it. The receipt showed an amount of $699 for the doubler. I immediately called Amex and found out that my account was charged $762.97.

I called Kyle back, no answer so I left a message. I waited 30 minutes and called him again. He was slightly difficult to understand on the phone with his mumbling to himself, but he said that he would look into it and I would get the difference back. I then faxed him a copy of the money order for his records.

A week went by and nothing. I called him and he said he was waiting to get the information from his "bookie" . I told him I would print out and fax over a copy of my online billing, which I did.

(2-17-09) called, no answer

(2-19-09) After calling him 3 times, he answered and his bookie has another job and he just is a bookie on the side so he has yet to get the info from him.

Week went by with no answer so I called back. He started to say things like the exchange rate could be the reason for this $125 mistake. I understand that the exchange rate will change from day to day but not by 20%. After he punched some numbers into the calculator, he finally came to the conclusion that he owed me $150. He told me that he would have it refunded.

A week later, I called when I had yet to get a refund. He said that it should have been done and he would have to look into it. Kyle was very nice on the phone but that means nothing if he doesn't look into it.

On 03-11-09, I called to get an update but I had to leave a message

On 03-12-09, I called to tell him that I would be willing to work it out for two 1410 np205 yokes, but I had to leave a message.

Today is the 15th, 74 days after the original order and 37 days after he was notified of the overcharge. He never calls me to update me on anything. He sounds nice on the phone but always puts things on other people like, oh my bookie this and American Express that..... these are also only the phone calls that I made from my cell phone since I can look my call history. This does not include all of the phone calls I made from work to check up on the progress. I get charged 58 cents every time I call him from my cell.

You took $125 from me and then got me charged $25 just to get the doubler. Kyle, where is my money?

Thanks. It not like I haven't been extremely patient with him. How hard is it to credit me $150. I even told him with the exchange rate it would be no big deal if it was off a few dollars. When I mentioned getting some 205 yokes, I though it might help the situation but no.

He was on today just before this was posted. Guess he doesn't get voicemails anymore. I almost feel like he screens his phone calls.

Just got off the phone with Kyle and he said I was credited back the money but he would check on it and get back to me. In the mean time I called Amex and I had zero credited to my account. Kyle called back and he just ran a credit to my account and he faxed me over the slip. It will take up to 72 hours for Amex to have the credit on my card so we will see if this is the end of the road soon.

As stated before Kyle is a super nice guy on the phone but he just doesn't seem to put in the effort off the phone.

Glad we got it dealt with for you Garner. I apologize for any inconvience on your end, I will be looking into it with my book keeper on the previous credit to see why we had an issue. I'm just happy to get squared away.

My computer is on all the time and generally has a window open which will mark me as logged in, but I have been away and did not see anything until you called, so no I'm certinally not avoiding your calls.

A business person can learn from any situation good or bad, any negative feedback is quick to show where more time needs to be put in, positive obviously shows what your doing right. In this case I certinally see a benifit from tighter reign on clerical organization.

I just received a credit for $147 and change. I really didn't want to resort to starting this thread but after a dozen phone calls and 38 days, it only took 15 minutes to get my money once NWF knew about this thread. But the doubler is nice

in your OP you put 2.6.08 So it took a YEAR to get this mess fixed?? if so then damn leave this thread up if not then you should probably fix that and/or delete this thread since its taken care of.
