I don't know about the rest of you, but I pretty damn tired or reading through pages of a classified ad just to see that the item has been sold! I think the moderators need to get off their ass and keep an eye on these ads that have been open for years but never closed out!

I find it funny that if you list something with out a price (b/c you are looking for offers) your ad is a risk of being removed. But, you can have an ad listed on here for months when the item is sold, and nobody can remove it but the moderators.

I don't EVER delete an ad unless it violates the stated rules (no price, no location, no ebay ads, etc).

In addition, how are the mods supposed to know when an item is sold? It's up to the seller to delete the thread if an item is sold, or preferably, just reply with a 'sold' post.

Maybe, if you find an item in the classifieds and pm the seller, and he says 'sorry dude, it's sold'. Maybe respond back and say 'Uh, can you post up that it's sold'

Or perhaps, get the sand out of your vagina and realize that there are more important things in life.
