i'm leaving tomorrow around noon for the weekend, so you have until then to clear this up and i'll delete this. otherwise it'll stay up here. i know you have stories, excuses, blah blah blah, and whether or not they're all true is not important to me.
you sold my buddy scott some stuff along with the 4runner. he was very patient with you as far as giving you time to round up the parts that you didn't have yet. this is between you and him, but i'm posting this up since it's affecting me now. i'm trying to finish up his 4runner and you said i'd have the bell housing a few weeks ago. we got to the point where we needed a bell housing now, not 3 months from now, so scotty bought one. now he still needs the ecu and the carpet kit, and i'd say that you should spare yourself the trouble of finding parts and shipping parts through third parties that wont give you tracking #'s, and just pay scotty the cash value of said missing parts. scotty dealt with you, not joe blow shipper guy. his job was to give you money. your job was to give him parts. his job was done months ago, now it's time for you to finish your job. please settle up so we can locate our own parts, i'm done waiting for parts that might not ever show up. one more thing, i'm doing my best not to be angry or nasty, so i'd like to keep this thread clean and to the point, no drama. i'll delete it as soon as you make it happen. thanks, -billy

It seems to me that if these types of threads stayed even after they were resolved that maybe there would be fewer threads about the same people.
Just my opinion.

That's right, this deal is between Scott and myself.....Not you and I. Apperantly, when you are a vendor here you can just do what you want and post up bad seller threads for you buddies. I am not saying that I dont owe him a W59 bellhousing, ecm and carpet kit for a 97 4runner. Ok, here is the deal..... Ordered the BH and ecm from a yard in Illinios. PROBLEM..... I was told(by Scott) I needed an ECM for a 97-03 4cyl/5 speed. Yeah, come to find out that it needs to be an ecm for a 96 only! Send that back to the guy in Illinios for an exchange. Second problem....... The bell housing they send me is for an auto! Not only is it for an auto, it's for a v6 aswell. Send that back with the ecm. Now, unless you want to drive to Illinios and ride this guy until he gives you the parts, fine with me. I have called and called and called some more. Now that I pretty much figure on never getting the BH from Illinios, I order one from a yard in Monterey CA. Send the $$ and never heard anything back from them. Phones are busy, wont return calls blah blah.... That was nearly a month ago. I call the sheriff there and tell them the story. They go to check it out which surprised the hell out of me. No such business at that address. They tell me I am pretty much fucked. So that puts me 2 bellhousing, 2 ecms and a carpet kit in the hole. That is over $500 in parts that I have never gotten. As I told Scott, I am not trying to be a dick and I am sorry that he had to go buy a BH on his own but I have alot of money tied up in this deal just like he does! This has nothing to do with UPS losing the parts or anything else. It has to do with the companies that I bought the parts from! They are not vendors here so there is nothing Pirate can do about it. Also, what about all the parts Scott promised to ship me for the bike I got from him? You dont see me throwing a huge fit about those. I had to go buy new plastics for that bike because he "lost" one of the side panels and never told me about it until I got to his house to pick the bike up! I also had to buy a new headlight for the bike after I found out that the original headlight/number plate was in Sacramento or so shit. So before you bad mouth me for not holding up my end of the deal, ask Scott if he has done everything he said he was going to do! I am not overly happy with the deal on the bike since I got it home and the "it might need a top end rebuild" turned into an full rebuild because the crank was broken! I took the deal, the bike was junk and I am living with it! There is a BH in Norcal that is on it's way to you Tuesday or so. I bought one from a guy here and he is out of town until Tuesday. As soon as the guy gets me the tracking number, you'll be the first to know. And, this is affecting you because you guys tore into the project before you had parts! Yes, that is my fault for not having the parts to you sooner. Like I said, I cant control what everyone else is doing! If parts never show up at my place, then I can not ship them to you! I am just glad that I went ahead and opened up the box with the first BH and ecm in it. If I hadn't, you'd have an ecm and BH for god knows what. Scott told me what ecm to buy, I bought it and it was not right. Neither I nor him knew that there was a 96-only ecm. His mistake for telling me he needed "X" ecm and my fault for not double checking. Now, as for the carpt kit, I ordered that before KOH. It has not arrived either. I keep getting the same run-around from them as I have been giving to Scott......BECAUSE I have been giving Scott the same info I have been being given. I have 15 more days to file a claim on these parts. That will be set in motion within the next week. This 4runner had/has nothing to do with jaydog. I have not sold anything of his for him. This 4runner belong to my brother-in-law and I sold it for him.

Why are you having to order all of this stuff? It seems that this deal would have been simplified if you just sold stuff that was actually in your possession. Adjust the price to account for any missing parts and let the buyer find the stuff on his own. That's what I would do.

Sure, trying to be a good guy and help the buyer out with his new project. It has just bit you now cause you are having problems following through with things that you may have promised. I'm just suggesting that in the future you can avoid being in this position by selling only stuff that you have. Then if you find a deal on parts that you know he might need you can contact him and see if he still needs it. That way you'll end up with a repeat buyer instead of a disappointed one.

I know what you are saying about the "selling parts before you own them" That's not exactly what happened here but close. It was my job to find the BH, ecm and carpet kit. I "bought" all those items.....some of them twice! I received the ecm and BH(as mentioned already) but the ecm was not theright one since I was given the wrong info on what to buy. It was not intentional on Scotts part by giving me the wrong info. Neither me nor him knew that Toyota used so many differnt computers during that time.

Jeff,
The bike ran well when parked, but wouldn’t hold an idle. I talked with you on the phone where you told me that you put a carb on the bike and it started up and ran great. Why would you tell me one thing and post something completely different? I never promised you a headlight. I told you I have a headlight/taillight/odometer at my parent’s house up north that I would try to get to you the next time I go up since I have no use for them…but they were never promised nor a specific part of the deal. As for the rear panel I didn’t even know myself until I pulled it out of storage…for that I apologize. You didn’t tell me that the 4runner had a flat tire either, but shit happens. Like you stated we had a misunderstanding about the ECM. I take full responsibility and appreciate you working with me to get the right one. I followed through with all of my commitments on time. At this point I need an ECM, carpet kit, and compensation for the bell housing that I bought. Without these items my build cannot continue. I can source the ECM and carpet kit if you do not have time and will expect compensation. -Scott |

Did that bell housing have the fork too? It should have. I was able to get ahold of the guy in Illinois with the ecm and carpet. The ecm is a no-show right now but the carpet is supposed to ship on Tuesday....We will see!

Jeff (DMSFAB) offered to reimburse me for the carpet kit and ECM, but I have yet to hear from him. Additionally his phone number is no longer valid. If you're reading this Jeff please send me $205 for the parts you owe and we can finally settle this.

After 5 months since this thread was made and now you're saying you will refund "very soon".... IMO that's not acceptable. $205 is not that difficult to refund in a month or less for most people... Just sayin.

I am not going to explain to everyone again what was going on. Scott is the one and only person I have to answer to and that is it. He knows what was going on. I dont think it is acceptable either but that is neither here nor there.
