Ballistic battery box - Thanks
...I ordered a single battery box from Ballistic for my Ranger...
..I called Chad at about 2 p.s.t. on Monday and got some measurements and info from him...A half hour later I ordered the box online and within 72 hrs. and one day ahead of the UPS scheduled delivery, I received my package from the big brown truck... ...Fast shipping and great help ...Thank You Chad... ...I thought I would share so I did a write up on another Forum and it includes some pics of the box and install with basic measurements for others to use while seeking out places to install this battery box... http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...d.php?t=274314

...I like the Battery Box so much that I will be ordering another one as soon as I get some petty cash rounded up...You will also be getting some more orders from others who are impressed after seeing it and hearing about the quick delivery...
...Again, thanks for helping me out and answering my questions so effortlessly... |

..Chad...
...I'm getting ready to order another battery box but I have a question on something else I need...I need a couple Forged Chromoly 2.63" Ballistic Joints for my DD/offroad truck but I need a 3/4" thru bolt instead of the 9/16"... ...Is there any chance you have these available as I already have brackets and the tranny cross member installed for the 2.63" but they have 3/4" holes...

We make hole reducer spacers that will work great in this application. A 3/4" ball is not really what we want to get into on these parts, it limits the travel of the joint severely and it's more parts we would have to stock.

There is a couple ways we can get you to a 3/4" with the:
-3.0" Ballistic Joint (http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...nt_p_1626.html) -Ballistic Rod End (Patent Pending) (http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...nd_p_1655.html) -3/4" x 3/4" (http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...er_p_1422.html) or 7/8" x 3/4" Heim (http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...r-_p_1423.html) Unfortunately, (as Jeff stated above) the 2.63 Ballistic Joint is not available with 3/4" through bolt. The options I posted above are also going to be contingent upon wither or not you have space for the body of the joint, sized stud you will need and if you are looking at a weld able joint or a studded one. One last idea is also the Reducer Spacers Jeff linked to above. The nice thing about this option is that it significantly increases the strength of the hole it is welded to. Let us know if you would like to pull the trigger on one of these options. Chad |
