i swear i saw this on your site a while back called an "inspection plug" but can not find it. all i can find is the "Item number DIF-2000-1", this may work for me but id like an larger opening to work with. do u guys offer anything w/ a larger size cap that seals 100%? i need to to build some fluid reservoir into my frame and thought a plug/cap like this would work perfect if i can find it.

Yes, we have not made it to production with this one yet, but it should be soon.

Jeff, feel free to delete this if it is stepping on your toes. Or maybe a new product from the Ballistic Wrecking Crew ??

To the OP. Not sure just what you mean by the highlighted portion in your question. But I did this;

Moroso catch can that is plumbed into the vent line of my rear diff. Allows for overfilling the diff to insure the pinion bearing gets plenty of lube while pointed up towards the transfercase.

Diff gets hot-Fluid expands and dumps into the catch can. Diff cools off and fluid drains back towards the diff. Was able to get an extra quart or so of fluid dumped in with no leakage or overflowing.

Works like the overflow bottle on your cooling system.

aww..... perfact, that looks like what i had in mind!.....

im actuly using part of my farme that is closed off as an fluid resivor. this way ill have less under the hood, well in my case the rear of this rig .... in the way.

now get that bad boy into productoin.

oh oh, will the weld in bung be steel or alum?......

jsawduste, thats a neat setup, i was thinking of something like that on a diffrent project but never did actuly do anything...... thanks for the pic

Weld in bung will be steel, but we could possibly make some Al ones for the guys that want to incorporate them into Al reservoirs.

Please make the bungs in both steel and aluminum. I use caps like that both in axle housings, and when making Aluminum fluid reservoirs. Would be nice to have all the caps match

i showed the rendering of this product to an customer yesterday. he asked how soon i could have one welded onto a set of valve covers for his oval track car...... i told him i had no idea..... maybe later this year?....
