    My son and I just bought a '73 Scout II and want to consider a modern V8 swap. The 5.3L seems like the most available and a good choice. Can you recommend the most straight forward engine and tranny combo without adding a lot of headaches to this swap? We just want it to be a good daily driver, no rock climbing, etc. The Binder currently has all stock parts - 345V8, 4 spd, standard transfer case.

    I heard you are the man to talk to about ls 4x4 questions, so im in the process of swapping a 5.3 4l60e in a k10 i plan to use a np241, the questions i have are all about the vss and having the proper speed shifting ive heard adapters work then i hear they dont, also if i needed to i could go with a different t-case just want everything to work right as it will be a dd

    Be easier just to extend you injectors wires for the CPI you have now. To run the individual injectors. Search L31 Marine intake swap on google. Lots of info on this.

    Question for you.... Can I run my 98 Vortec 454 wire harness and computer on a 96 350 with an after market intake? My goal is to increase fuel so I can run more boost. Right now I'm limited by the 96 Vortec fuel system. It has a Whipple.

    Well. I will be back in the first part of april, and you know how it is when you have too much time on your hands and no place to spend your money.... I am thinking of upgrades to the truck. So what is a Motor going for these days (with computer and harness)? Just say a 6.0L...

    That is funny... in the next week, I am going to check out a gig with a machine shop here in AFG... Heads up if you get to choose. Iraq is a hell of a lot nicer. This place is a mess.

    Yeah I still sale motors, but funny thing is I may be going to Afghanistan or Iraq as a contractor! haha. Maybe a few months though.

    Hey Scott... How are things going, do you still have the motor buisiness you told me about? I am about two month out, from returning from Afghanistan and sure am looking foward to gettin back...

    Use the 2000ish Vette fuel/regulator. You can get one at any auto parts store. It will have a inlet and return built in to it. Then the single outlet to the fuel rail. Run the return to the tank.

    hay it looks like you no whats up im trying to put a 6.0 L in a 49 chevy pick up on a blazer frame and having fuel problims its a 04 moter with no retern how do you plum a external fuel pump ? thanks
