No exhaust yet

I showed up at Randy's doorstep early yesterday morning. We talked it over and he said that to be safe I should take it back home, cut off the exhaust myself and then build the x-members before bringing it back. He'd build the exhaust around what I put in. duh!
I apologized for wasting his time and he blew it off like it happens all the time. I had been hoping to build the crossmembers and their associated link brackets in small stages and still be able to wheel in between. Doesn't look like that's going to happen. Once the exhaust comes off, she's too loud and one of the two things I don't work on is exhaust - the other is tires.
So, I went to Walker Valley and tooled around a bit, tore off a braided brake line, plugged it up and limped home. I parked the Jeep in the garage accepting the fact that it'll be another four - six weeks before I get out again. Life really is good though.
