I always seem to forget something until I'm all done.
The other day I had the tank off my bike so I could put the choke cable back on. I was in the middle of something else when I was doing this, and later when I putting the seat back on I noticed that I didn't have the fuel line on. On it goes. Today I left the house and the bike started running badly. I looked down and saw that I forgot to turn the fuel back on. Good thing I had seen that the fuel line was off before I went riding.

I know how you feel. However, I also forget things while doing them. I'm doing fiberglass repair and nearly forgot to wipe down the area with acetone before starting to apply the new cloth.
