I just got off the phone with these guy's and their great people. I'll be placing my order this week for a 94 runner. After my wife and I witnessed a roll over on Highway 50 last week, it wasn't hard to convince my wife that we needed to spend some money on our safety.
Quick question to anyone who has this cage in a 2nd gen runner. I'm keeping my factory seats because they're in great condition still so, Does the cage interfere with the seat function at all? Slight rubbing is fine with me,but I still want to be able to slide the seat forward and lean/lay down the seats. Thanks p.s. Does anyone from the Sacramento area know anything about a roll over that occurred Saturday 3/31/2012 West bound on Highway 50? It was exactly at 2:19pm we saw the whole thing unfold! (I called 911 at that time and the log was still in my phone) It was either a plumber or electrician by the looks of the Ford with utility boxes, also it was a solo accident, not sure what happened. Anyway God Bless this guy my wife and my prayers went out to him that night. Last edited by rcp916; 04-04-2012 at 01:31 PM. |

In reality the cages fit so well they don't limit your storage space much at all for either the full length or the passenger length. The choice really comes down to which you like the look of more and do you want roll cage protection over the farthest back part of the cab.

i really like these cages, but the way they mold around the dash on the 3rd gen pickups, i already hit my knees sometimes, ouch!
im not against cutting my dash to run the tube through, and chance of offering that as an option maybe? |

Yes I can build cages with the A pillar going through the dash. However it is up to you to get it through the dash area and I won't make any comments about it interfering, or not, with heat vents and other things inside the dash. Give me a call if that's the route you'd like to go.

I bought one of these cages at the beginning of the month 08/12 for my 3rd gen extended cab. I was fully expecting a "precision engineered internal roll cage kit and a superior fit" as there web site states.
I installed this "kit" last night...What I thought was going to be about 4-5 hours turned into 8. After tacking up the kit with the supplied tube and looking at the directions online and pictures. The fit was not superior. There was gaps like crazy everywhere. Adam assured me they build them as tight as they can. I went out and got 10' of tube and recut and notched 6 pieces of tube for a more superior fit. My cage looks great now with minimal gaps after a lot of work...more work then I was expecting for a ready to weld in cage. If I had it to do over again I would say try and just buy the A pillars and the B pillars(only minimal trimming on the B pilars was required, A pilars were perfect) If they will sell them to you and notch all the other tube yourself. I have 6 pieces of tube that I couldn't use laying in my shop for other projects i guess. Overall happy with not having to bending the A pillars myself, they did a great job fitting those to the dash and cab, and the B pillars fit great(minimal cutting). Unhappy with the money I spent for something that was not what it was presented as. Very unhappy having to cut and notch and all the tube and work to get it to fit tight in my cab. Maybe mine was built on monday... |

I'm sorry to hear that you had issues with your cage. We are here to help answer any questions you have along the way! Sounds like you've got a bunch of pieces out of place!

Ya i think its all in place. The 6 cross braces you guys cut had my cage almost 3" off the dash at the A pillars...You call that a superior fit? Not sure what could have been out of place. Tacked up great looked like the picture except, fit was just way loose. I'm sure its just customer error
