JK Body Armor by MetalCloak --- Just Released!

As some of you may remember, the founding company, Rev111, was not only the innovators behind the incredible Arched Tube Fenders, but, as it turns out, they were also recognized as the first developer of Tube Fenders for the JK.

While, as MetalCloak, we never took those JK fenders (as seen on Xtreme 4x4) into production, it was great to know we had such awesome heritage.

Like everything we do, we knew we could develop a better fender for the JK. So we returned to the drawing board, applied all the lessons learned from users across the country over the last couple years and developed from the ground up our new, incredibly rugged, JK Body Armor system.

Designated the Overline, the fenders are truly a hybrid of the Arched and the Overline fenders, breaking the rules and following non-traditional lines.

Once again, we've achieved the most clearance in the industry by raising the fender and flare ABOVE the stock flare lines of the JK. The Red Rubi is running 37" Good-Year MTRs on a Stock Rubicon -- that's no lift.

The quick release removable flares come in 8" (1" over stock width) and 5" (2" below stock width). With the flare removed the fenders have a built in rub rail.

Using the internal bracing seen here, our fenders achieve the same level of rugged rock-biting strength that has been proven time and again with our other product lines.

The MetalCloak Body Armor system for the JK includes the distinctive Rocker Rail, with build in deflector plates and optional MetalCloak Exo-Skins (not seen in this pic).

The rear Quick Release removable flares, bolt directly onto a rugged Exo-Skin that gives just the right about of extreme clearance. Additional bracketry (not shown here) creates our trademark rock-biting strength.

So there you have it -- finally -- Rock-Biting Body Armor for your JK. :2thumbsup:

Additional product information will go live on our website on Monday, October 11.

We are in pre-order mode, so please call to place your order at 916-631-8071.

We look forward to your feedback!

Yes. You can easily run 37s with no lift just like this rig here...

I wont lie Im sceptical about it. Everything I have seen and read online has said that there is rubbing with simular fenders and 35s without a lift. Your claiming to clear another 2 inchs of tire with no rubbing. Do you have any customer reviews anywhere by chance?

The MetalCloak fenders provide 2 inches additional clearance than "similar" fenders; the "similar" fenders you reference I believe require cutting up your JK too and still don't provide as much clearance while MetalCloaks Overline fenders are bolt on and can be returned back to stock if you ever desired. The MetalCoak systems are designed/engineered to absolutely maximize up-travel; Can you make the tires rub... sure if you dont bump-stop correctly but you can see in the images that have been posted previously that it flexes pretty well for factory suspension! I have personally seen this Jeep here locally in Sacramento and I can say that it definitely can run 37's.

The key to our system is eliminating the flare as a rub point. All other bolt-on tube fenders for the JK become potential rub points just by the nature of how they sit.

The MetalCloak Overlines sit higher on the body, hence no rub point.

At that point, the JK itself becomes the limiting factor to tire size. And I can tell you from experience, when you eliminate the fenders, you can run the 37s with no lift and 35s have a swimmingly good time.

One of the perks of the JK.

As a note, the 35 rubbing argument is definitely a point on TJs and older Wranglers but even with those rigs, you can run 35's with no lift and our fenders.

thanks for your input.

I am going to take it for granted that I will have to get an aftermarket wheel with a better ofset then what its got on it.

That's true whether you go with our fenders or not. By the time you get up to 35 x 12.5, you will want wheels better designed for your set-up. On our JK we run 4" of backspacing.

Just a quick note to let you know that we are doing our FREE SHIPPING SALE again this weekend. In this tough economic time and in recognition of all you hard-working wheelers out there, we figured Labor Day weekend was a perfect time to help you out.

This weekend, from Friday, September 2 at 5:00 PM PST to Monday, September 5 at Midnight PST, all orders OVER $1000 will qualify for free shipping. These are orders to the Continental United States only (lower 48).

This is an Online Only sale, so you must order online and use the code P4FREESHIP711

So if there is anything you were thinking of getting NOW is the time! Because, as you know, when our sales are over, they are over and rarely pop up again.

See you on the rocks... or not!
