Ruffstuff 14b disc brackets, wtf?

Early 80's c&c axle

Calipers and rotors from 82 k20

rotors measure about 12.5"

do they all fit this bad, or did I get a bad set of brackets?

Rotors are off 82 K20. The rotors are from advance, and physically measure the same as the specs listed on napa's site.

PM gravelmaker (Dan) show him these pictures. I just went outside and looked at my truck with the exact same setup and the pads have full contact with the rotors.

Just got off the phone with Dan, apparently some were drilled wrong. I would call Dan if your's are like this.

He is sending me out a new set, I will report back when I get them.

Wednesday, the 2nd set of brackets showed. Fit exactly the same. Called ruff stuff, he did some measuring. The decided fix was to have one of the guys weld up the holes in another set, re drill and tap in the right spot. I ended up doing this myself, and the guys at ruff stuff sent me out some other parts that I was planning on ordering.

All in all, great customer service.

It appears we have a whole stack that were made for the Chevy 12.5" rotor and drilled for the Sterling 12 7/8" rotor...Which sucks just a bit but at least it isn't the most popular one.

Dan, don't take this the wrong way, but that is an impossibility.

A 12 7/8 rotor would offset the caliper by 3/16" (.1875). To fix these brackets I needed to bring the holes down .335"

Like I said, not trying to start shit, just trying to help. You guys went above and beyond in my eyes.

Measuring from the line of the press break to the caliper bolt hole should be about 1.040 on the correct ones, assuming its a DRW axle bracket.

Mine are on A srw housing with drw hubs. The first set the offset was wrong won't fix on the rotors. He send me A free pair. The pads sit out about .185 to far been running them this way for about 1 year.
