i need 4l80 help

my truck is a 98 chevy crew cab, i bought a crate 454 for it to replace the worn out motor, trans was rebuilt and was working great until we go everything back in order and now it wont move at all..i checked fluid and there all fine, torque converter is hooked up right. any ideas on what might be wrong?????

Assuming you hooked up the driveshaft, have you checked the shift linkage? Did the TC have any fluid in it when it was installed? When you try to put it in gear what does it do? Need more info

Did you make sure the torque converter was pushed into the trans properly or did you just shove it in there and pull the trans to the motor with the bolts and push the torque into the pump.

^^^ This. It probably slipped out of the pump when you pulled the original engine, and then you broke the pump when you bolted the engine back to it.

no made sure it was unhooked and slid back when i unhooked it, trans was never removed when the motor was pulled,

can the neutral safety switch fail just like that? other than the flywheel bolts and bell housing bolts nothing else tranny wise was removed.

One quick and easy way to tell, albeit messy. Pull the cooler lines at the radiator and fire it up. 2 to 1 shes not pumping.
