i have a 98 4.3 vortec, the number one injector is spraying like a super soaker instead of a fine mist. I have a 98 harness with a 97 computer. jims performance walked me through changing the pin outs to make the two work...after redoing the pinouts the rig ran liek a champ for a couple runs. went over the rubicon and all the sudden my overspraying issue returned...but how, the pinouts are all secure in their locations so one is not getting a faulty signal. i also have a brand new spider injection system (the upgraded one, not the poppet style) and the fuel system hold pressure so its not a stuck open injector...something is triggering it to open too much...anyone have a clue?
ok so after ripping the top end apart i've come to the conclusion that for some reason my motor doesn't have a coolant temp sensor. all the injectors were overspraying. when the temp sensor is not present it tells the computer the temp is -40 and will run extremely rich. so i got a temp sensor but now i need to figure out how to wire into my computer. the jims performance harness i got has a wire labeled engine temp which is grey. there are two wires coming out of the sensor one is light green or yellow and hte other i believe is black (i'm pretty color blind which REALLY helps while wiring). i think the grey wire goes to my guage but i'm not sure. anyone know how to find the correct wires. I sent an emai lto jim at jims performance but we are goign wheeling this weekend and i might not be able to get an answer from him by then...

Your 98 harness ECTS wires are yellow and black. Yellow is the power side and black is the ground side.
On your 97 computer
The yellow ECTS wire should connect to pin 23 of connector 2 on your computer. Says it a red plug
The black ECTS wire should connect to pin 4 of connector 3 on your computer. Says its white. (also says this is the ground for the TPS too)
