After 30 min of searching Im having a hard time finding any info on how sharp a stock early 80's kingpin d60 knuckles can SAFELY turn without breaking a shaft , is there a measurement of how far out the steering stop bolt should be out of the knuckle or how many deg is safe ? Im adding hydro assist and want to limit the ram with out getting to the danger zone? In the past I have broke front axle shafts when turning but am unsure how to measure or tell when the u joint is binding
That is the only mention in that whole 2 pages of info about anything to do with it , does that mean 40 deg is safe? doesn't sound like it , sounds like thats MAX
Locked or unlocked? Tire size, hp, weight, driver etc. Know your limits, usually its pretty clear you're too cranked and bound up. Some just dont know when to pick a new line.
