I have 83 chevy one ton truck that have bogged for couple years. It is a long bed frame but has flat bed on it. Everything getting pretty rusty and sad looking i have a 98 s10 blazer setting around doing nothing. I wAs thinkin bout takin cab and bec off and cutting a piece if the frame out and putting blazer body on it. Truck has 454 and 44 boggers. Just wondering if any one has attempted it or done it before could give some pointers or ideals. I figured on switching to electric fans and radiator in the back cause lack of room in the blazer.
Like Grumpy said. It has been done many times. Most of the guys in our local mud racing club are running a cut down full size frame with mini truck body of their choosing. Usally done to make a light, fast truck.
Im pretty sure im going to do it but only kinda scares me is brakes and steerin it a mudding trail truck so both pretty important but if theres a will theres away
I know I will most likely go this route if I move down to WA. But Ill be starting with a K5 frame. So Im pretty sure ill be well off. Will be a super simple job...
