Like the title says, I've searched and searched and haven't found anything that says "drill and tap here on a 2002 z71 delphi gear box". I'm not 100% sure what model of gear box even comes on the truck. The guy at Burgeson guessed it was a 600 series, but couldnt narrow it down to which box it was specifically. Anyone with knowledge about this please chime in.
Ive found threads for tapping gear boxes(older gm, dodge, nissan, ect) just nothing for this box on this truck.
Kind of on the same topic, I'm wanting to do a sector shaft support, like tons of dodge people are doing. With my SAS complete and crossover steering turning 40s, when I turn I can hear what I think is needle bearing being crushed within my gear box, hence the need for a sector shaft brace. All the kits I've seen that accomplish this cost big bucks, and most aren't for my exact application. I've got the ability to have a pitman arm nut/pillow block bearing shaft machined pretty cheap, and I could easily make everything else. The problem I'm running into is that I do not know the thread pattern on my 2002 Silverado 1500 Delphi gear box sector shaft. Any one that knows what it is?
