Here's my story.
I hope someone can get me on the road again.
I replaced the Trans with a rebuilt one. While removing the old one I found the
original neutral safety switch connectors glued in. Yes glued with a clear hard glue. I removing the connectors I damaged the neutral safety switch and bought a new one. and installed it trying to get the alignment right.
I connected the battery and the starter turned the engine over. I found I had grounded the starter wires with the wire shield so I corrected that. I connected
the battery again and I got 2 bangs from the starter and then nothing
I took starter off and had it tested it tested OK.
Replaced starter and charged battery fully and I still get no turning over.
Now what...Is the connectors shot on the wiring and I need to drop another $150 for new and wire them in? Can I bypass the safety switch to see if it turns over?
Did I just blow a fuse I don't know of?
Now in the gear display what should be back lit? The back lighting seams slow to appear for the gears ans some have no backlighting?
As you see I'm stumped?
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh the details....2002 Chevy suburban 1500 4wd 5.3 engine 4l60e trans.
